I used to struggle for the longest time with the fear of having jiggly arms.
I tried everything, I started with kickboxing with my roommate in college, I did push ups daily, I thought If did rows that would help. Then I almost started to feel worthless, and uncomfortable. Every picture I had taken had been in long sleeves, sweaters or t-shirts. I kept wondering to myself what I was doing wrong!
Back then, I was so consumed on how I looked, because I was around people all the time. I was being so hard on myself eventually I had had enough! I was done feeling self conscious about my body.
I decided to do something about it and that’s when I decided to start going to to my school gym. As I went, I watched other people who knew what they were doing in the gym, and looked at other students athletes, to watch how to lift weights. I didn’t start going to the gym every day but I did start off easy around twice a week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I got into into, It was easier to make it a part of my lifestyle. A lot of people think it’s hard to stay healthy in college but it’s not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It wasn’t only was it just about the right exercise for your arms, because you can do so many things; but the way you eat as well and not just Cardio!
Now through lifting weights and boxing I have found that happy medium I was looking for that I am not afraid to show off my arms anymore! I have people saying “ I want arms that look like yours” and I blush!
Just doing cardio won’t help you get rid of the arm fat, but incorporating weights into your routine will!
