Today I needed some balance to my life because things have been going a bit sideways. I started with an 8 min mile then continued on to the balance board: 3x12 squats, pushups, stationary ab stance and worked on my general balance. I incorporated a 10 pound kettlebell and did upright row and over the head triceps extension while maintaining balance. It was fun getting onto the board and made me laugh when I would lose balance and freak out, hoping no one was witnessing me. You quickly find your center and from there you move outwards into the movements where you redirect your muscles to find equilibrium. It stabilizes your muscles and builds strength and it is wonderful to your overall physical well-being. Wow what a powerful and moving quote as I sit here and think about life and the moments where I decided to sit in the vibrations of anger and hatred versus when I decided to ride the waves of love and prosperity I can tell you that riding the waves of love and prosperity is not only going to get you an amazing suntan some sand between your toes and some spiritual waves in your face it's gonna make you and all-around better person we all know the difference between people with good energy and bad energy much like animals love certain people and not really into certain people and/or scared of them it's like walking into a cold shower and I'm in freezing cold or walking into a warm comfortable bath you just feel relaxed who are those people that are like a warm comforting back to you and your life and who are those that feel like they're draining you and pulling you under. Think about those people and then I want you decide who are you to your friends are you a wave of light and joy and happiness or are you an energy vampire today I want you to make the decision to no longer be an energy vampire if you are and to take a few steps back from those that are energy vampires and reflect. I want you to go somewhere alone in private maybe that's in your car maybe that's in your room or wherever that is I want you to listen to your favorite music I want you to dance and sing and just be joyful I want you to raise your energy as hard as you can today and reside in that then I want you to go throughout your day normal like you usually do at any moment that you start to feel down again I want you to reflect back on of those happy moments while you were singing and dancing and relive that same energy again. For the next 10 days I want you to focus on lifting your energy and only being a state of positivity and happiness at all times whenever you think of something negative quickly switch the channel just like watching TV when you've got children in the room and something inappropriate comes on you quickly switch the channel I need you to switch the channel on your vibes today and make your life a beautiful movie. #eyes #skin #healthyplanbyann #blog #annalewandowska #motivati

My learnings from competition yesterday: I have a problem with the third try in the snatch🤔 . Snatch: 60✔️ 63✔️ 65❌ C & J : 78✔️ 82✔️ 85❌ . At the 3rd try from the C&J I could not clean it, I have to work onwards on my leg strength. But the 3rd stretch was really close..again🤔 when I stood up the bar moved to the front, I guess I should have wait longer in the squat😰. I really have to work on that. We will adapt the training and add heavy drop snatches. I hope that will do it :) Anyway I like that I can learn something new on every competition. After 2 days of staying home due to snow & a rest day, I was itching for a proper gym workout where i could really push myself & kill my workout. As I was driving to the gym this morning, I thought about if the gym was open & if it was, who would be there? How many people would drive through the snow to workout at 9 am? As I pulled up, i was pleasantly surprised as there was a good amount of cars in the parking lot. Since I go to planet, it’s always packed and i never pay attention to anyone else but today i did and I saw so many people that were extremely motivated absolutely crushing their workouts, i saw so many PR’s and insane workouts that got me even more motivated. That’s what this whole rant is about, motivation. It’s a question that i get asked daily, how i stay motivated, what i use as motivation & what do I do if I’m unmotivated.... My motivation is my end goal, the day I get to walk on an IFBB pro stage. Every day I wake up with that goal in mind knowing that every day contributes to that goal wether it be my workout, attitude or good i eat. I want it so bad that literally nothing can stop me, ever. I am a very passionate person so when i set my mind to something, I do not give in, give up or back down, I am determined. So that is my motivation; I stay motivated because I want it and I know that slacking off only pushes me farther away from my goal. Losing motivation or not feeling it for me is rare, the gym is my second home and I truly love it, I look forward to my workouts every day (I have to stop myself from overdoing it almost everyday) but if it does happen, all I do is think back to my goal and that a workout is 1 of 23 hours in my day, that I am beyond blessed to be able to exercise. When I lose motivation, I remember why I started and honestly that’s enough for me. . Those “tips” if you can even call it that are what work for me, they will not work for everyone but what I hope you got out of that is to do what works for you. Pick a goal, make a plan & execute, the only person in your way is you. Regardless of whether you have functional or structural scoliosis, odds are you will have muscle imbalances in your body that will pull your spine out of place! . In larger curves the main culprits among muscles of the back are the erectors. They have attachments to the spine and/or ribcage and essentially run parallel to the spine. If you consider these to act rather like a 🎸guitar string or an 🎯archery bow, you can see how a dysfunctional, strong contraction of the muscle (the bowstring) bends the spine (bow). But the erectors are not the only muscles involved! . [A]The rhomboids, attach to the spine on one side and on the medial border of the scapula on the other. A dysfunctional rhomboid on one side could cause a lateral pull on the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine . [B]The trapezius also has attachments along the thoracic spine as well as shoulder blade and collarbone. A dysfunctional trapezius could create a larger scoliotic curve than the rhomboids would and affect more spinal segments . [C]The posterior deltoid has some attachments to the shoulder blade, too, and can work in tandem with thoracic erectors to pull the spine out of alignment . [D]In the low back, there is a muscle on each side of the spine that attaches to the lowest rib, spine, and top rim of the pelvis called quadratus lumborum. The QL is a core stabilizer and has a tendency toward hypertonicity or constant tightness. 😩 The functionality of the QL is to work as a hip hiker, but it often puts a side-strain pull on the lumbar spine as well as an upward tension on the ilium. Scoliosis here may be caused by QL alone or QL in tandem with the lumbar erectors . In addition, there are several small muscles that attach between the vertebrae or between vertebrae and ribs that may be involved in functional scoliosis. These are the multifidus, intertransversarii, rotatores, and levator costalis!!! 😳🤔😩 . The 1st step to helping a scoliotic spine is understanding how to rebalance the system and allow the spine to "straighten" itself out! . . . #sanfrancisco #motivati
