I've never participated, but I thought it'd be cool to see the difference in my body, of not only five months, but being 41 weeks pregnant with my second child (who was 9lbs 1oz and 23 inches long 😅) and being nearly five months postpartum.
For the first month that she was with us, my diet was awesome. I ate all my veggies and everything was portioned properly. Then BAM. Breastfeeding her with a tongue and lip tie through a growth spurt happened. After that, I habitually was eating a donut a day, at least. Pizza every other night because no one wanted to cook. The challenges of having two kids started to arise when my husband went back to work and I comfort ate.
June was a stressful and emotional month for me, and it included the strong realization that I can't pour from an empty cup. I matter in this family. How can I expect my kids to have healthy eating habits when I don't practice them myself?
