“We are all just Bus Drivers”
There is an old song called Bus Driver by a band called Caedmon's Call. It was written and sung by Derek Webb, a man I still respect today. The essence of the song was the idea that we all have an impact on each other on a daily basis... no matter how small or seemingly trivial the contact. We depend on and are depended on by others. We are all important, no matter our role. The Bus Driver has people that depends on him or her to get through their day... to and from work... if we are lucky we share a smile along the route. The thing is..., we all have someone... someone’s that would miss us if we did not show up for our “route” tomorrow. We are all driving our “buses” and impacting people everyday as we travel along on what often feels like a mundane life... just as they impact our lives. Someone expects to see us tomorrow... be grateful for that.... show up... be you... be exactly who they need... you.
