Mountain wanderings can be good for the soul ☆
Let's see if you can guess this NW Montana lake's name.
Nestled between the Mission and Swan Mountains this lake sits south of Seeley Lake and is part of the Chain Lakes on the Clearwater River. A 42 acre @mtstateparks site flanks its northeastern shoreline with day use and camping amenities. It provides exceptional canoeing and fishing opportunities, especially this time of year.
Tip: Swing by and give Gus, the world's largest larch, a hug before heading south to this lake. Gus can be found off of Boy Scout Rd on the southern end of Seeley Lake.
Remember to clean, drain and dry all water recreation equipment and make sure watercraft are inspected at approved inspection stations.
