Wander a city with no destination in mind, you might just find a Barbie Expo!
We set out for breakfast at Universel after arriving this morning and happened to pass by this expo going on in one of the nicer shopping malls in Montreal. I would’ve gone in either way, but the free price tag convinced my coworker it was a worthwhile place to visit. It turned out to be a fairly incredible personal collection of Barbie dolls, ranging from Bob Mackie and other designer collectibles to the newest Fashionista dolls. Most were in excellent, out of box condition, and several were posed in entertaining scenes. We both ended up taking photos of the entire expo, swipe to see more.
I have loved Barbie for as long as I can remember. I’ve got my mom’s old dolls, I have mine from my youth, and I’ve got a handful still in their boxes, including a recent purchase of Amelia Earhart. I’ve got a pinup skirt, the 50th collector’s edition book, and absolutely subscribe to the collector’s emails. She was the ideal woman for me as a young girl and now she’s becoming an inspiring figure for youth, encouraging them to reach for their dreams and embrace individuality. This was such a nice, random stop today and if you’re in the area I recommend it!
