Mostly I like Bourbon neat. But sometimes I make a little homemade cocktail I call The Tracer Round. Bulliet Bourbon marinaded cherries, with cinnamon sticks, Muscovado Sugar and a Serrano Pepper (Thai chili pepper is better, but couldn't find any). Put cherries, put in a mason jar, add sugar, cinnamon sticks and half a seeded pepper. Cover with Bourbon, shake well to dissolve sugar and refrigerate. Let marinate for 3-4 days, up to 10. Shake up a couple of times a day. Taste daily. after 2nd day. Remove pepper at desired heat level. When ready, pour over ice and top with ginger ale.
