Photo and video highlights from @thewarholmuseum in Pittsburgh, PA featuring the silver clouds, Aretha Franklin, Warhol and the Amiga, and Screen Test room where you can simulate the same screen test that Edie Sedgwick and many of the other Warhol Superstars have done at The Factory. It is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to one individual.
There are 7 floors each level dedicated to a decade of his life. I started at the top floor which began with his childhood and family and made my way down. This way you will be able to view everything in chronological order with a better comprehensive understanding.
If you enjoy Andy and the era he represents, you'll love being here. The biased fan side of me found each and every moment exhilarating but casual and non art folks can also appreciate the history and his impact on art, the multimedia world, and pop culture.
The souvenir shop is a Warhol fan utopia and easily has the best collection of Warhol books I've ever seen. It literally carries everything which is licensed to sell and many exclusive items which cannot be purchased anywhere else even online except the museum.
I'd highly recommend adding it to any itinerary to Pittsburgh.
