Elles ont leur place dans la société et donc dans les magazines .. . Mais le problème le voilà .. Quand on est petites .. Grosses .. Noires .. Handicapées .. Chauves .. Obèses .. Vieilles .. Et qu’on fait quand même tout pour avoir une vie là plus saine possible .. Comment nous retrouver dans une affiche pareille ? . Au-delà même de ça .. Comment une affiche comme ça peut-elle encourager les filles à avoir une vie saine ? Si elles ne ressemblent pas déjà à ces femmes là ? Elle ne peut pas ! Ces filles penseront simplement que leurs places ne sont pas dans le Fitness parce qu’elles sont différentes .. 🌸 C’est à cause de ce genre d’affiches que des femmes et des filles pensent ne pas avoir le droit au bien-être .. à la santé .. et à tous les lieux de Fitness .. . C’est à cause de ce genre d’affiches que je n’ai pas osé prendre ma place dans une salle de sport pendant très longtemps .. C’est à cause de ce genre d’affiches que je me suis crue incapable de faire du yoga .. de courir .. ou d’être forte .. C’est contre ce genre d’affiches et de représentations que je me bats bec et ongles aujourd’hui ! 🌸

Vegan Banana Nut Muffins, Perfect for Saturday Morning Brunch! I served mine with 3/4c 0% greek yogurt mixed with 1/2 scoop Vegan Cafe Latte @shakeology ! 1 1/3c ripe banana 2 Tbl Almond Milk 1/4 tsp vanilla 1c. Coconut sugar 2 Tbl Flax Seed 6 Tbl Water 1/2c. Ghee 3/4c. Chickpea Flour 1/2c. @eatbarukas Almond flour 1/2tsp salt 1 tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4c. Chopped Barukas 1. Combine the wet ingredients with mashed banana. 2. Sift together dry ingredients and add to wet and fold in the chopped Nuts 3. Portion into muffin tin lined with paper liners 4. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. 5. Krystal Here. It’s been a while since I posted. This Summer was rough, with the multiple vacations, and constantly eating out with family, I hit a huge setback! I tried doing a workout here and there but nothing consistent! I wound up gaining back some weight :( but not all so there’s that. I finally got the energy and desire to get back at it! Eating right is still a struggle but I’m finishing up week 3 of a new program! I loving it! Ok guys, it’s not always gonna be pretty, but this is the reality of the journey. As I told you the other day pictures tell the whole story!! Only a few months separate these pictures. Week 17 Round Up - This doesn’t feel like a mission anymore, this fitness regime is just starting to feel routine. So maybe that’s what it takes, four months of persistent effort to form a habit so strong it can be termed lifestyle. Of course the physical change is easiest to track and showcase. The interesting mental change I’ve noticed (I think my coach has too) is how I approach my exercises now. I used to insist on knowing how many reps he wanted so I could gauge where I was and when I would be done. You could tell me 5 or 10 and i would probably be able to achieve either and feel I had exhausted all my energy. These days I just go until I can’t any more. Sometimes I loose count. I used to be afraid of muscle failure but now I focus more intensely and strive for it. I used to make note of every exercise and weight, again to gauge progress and be able to do it on my own. Now I just do the exercises accepting that if I do them enough eventually I’ll remember them all and as long as I start with a weight that I can do about 15 reps on. I can adjust from there. I used to feel totally lost without my coach at the gym but today I walked in and hammered out a quick 30 minute session with intention and confidence. There’s no reason why working out can’t feel as second nature as taking photos or cooking dinner - it just take practice. - Down to an all time low of 88kg. Protein intake is nearly on point and I think it’s really making a big difference in both strength and bulking. Coach changed the days he comes to my gym so I’m down to two training sessions, Tuesday and Thursday, which has thrown my schedule a little but it’s kinda good to be figuring out a new routine. Still hitting the mountains and jumprope. As a working woman, I don’t have much time to exercise. I switch lunch break with weightlifting/dancing session because otherwise, with late meetings etc, I know I won’t be able to train regularly. The biggest motivation comes from tremendous love I receive from my husband that always encourages me to be better and healthier everyday. Rather than having him nurturing a sick wife, now I can give him little hands like pushing cars around to get out from the parking lot, surprising him by getting his favorite but heavy canned coffees when he’s out of town, playing go kart, trap shooting, and even traveling the world or hiking mountains together. Being fit empowers me to help beloved ones around me, but it also teaches me to respect and appreciate other people’s helps. Thank you for all fitness trainers and friends who have shared their energies and supports during this journey. 1-1.5 hour spent daily in the gym has made BIG differences: less sick days, more energy to complete work and help people around, and freedom to move.
