I often feel disconnected from my experiences. I feel as though I dont spend enough time in the little moments of my life. So, in an effort to be more aware of the little joys & to absorb more of the beauty in the every day, I have decided to start a new weekly post. I went for a 6 mile run this morning and it was horrible. I had to stop more times than it should be legally allowed and really struggled. I am now wondering how I ever will be able to run 26.2 miles by the end of October. The reason is that I have not focused 100% on my running recently, or probably for the last 8 month. I have been running but not regular and I have not put in the right amount of effort, which is why I still struggle on a 6 mile run. It is as they say you get out what you put in, and I have not put enough in. So this week #MyWeeklyWonders is to focus 100% on my running. This will include the right nutrition to support my running, at least 3 runs a week with speed training and/or hills sprints. Here is to running. #yogawithadriene this morning! 12min was all I had, but it worked perfectly! Practicing yoga everyday is fabulous and I might stick to it after this week with #MyWeeklyWonders! Don't forget to exercise today and I love to hear what you chosen today.

#MyWeeklyWonders.... how did it get on this week? Did you stick to your pledges? I did cheat one day of my sugar free week, where I had to have some ice cream. I only had a small bit but it had sugar in it and a lot of it. I will try to stick to it for a little longer and see how it goes.⠀ ⠀ For this week I am pledging to do a little bit of yoga every day. I increased my running to get marathon ready and really do not stretch nearly enough. I do yoga once or twice a week at the moment but its not sufficient for the amount I run. So this week I will try and do a little bit of yoga every day, even if it is only 10min. My legs will be grateful for it and so will my mind. ⠀ ⠀ What are you pledging this week?

#MyWeeklyWonders… this week I have chosen to go sugar free and now 4 days into the No Sugar rule, I feel great. I can’t say it was extremly hard so far, but I don’t eat a lot of sugar anyway so I would expect it to be easier. However, I have noticed that I do crave sugar and had to substitute more with fruit this week. I don’t eat a lot of fruit normally, but this week I ate a lot of sweet fruit like grapes, melon and peaches. I have missed my glass of wine but feel really good for not drinking it. So all in all good and I might stick to this for a little longer than a week.⠀ Don’t forget on Sunday we are committing to a new change for the week so get your thinking cap on what you want to change. #FitHITTChallenge
