Alright, ya'll. I took some semi-artistic photos of some trash bags just to show you how I spent my morning! One of these giant alternate-universe Santa sacks is mine, the other is Jason of @ 's. The golf bag is a rando trash find that made us both go, "really?". We spent the morning participating in the @ merchant's monthly neighborhood clean up and despite working up a sweat, I always have so much fun because I know I'm helping make my home a better place. We normally pull even more trash than this, but we weren't able to cover the same area we normally do. Can you imagine how many bags would be in this photo if we could get every single piece of trash and every single cigarette butt that is currently on the ground in the 28205? Kinda scary to think about.
I LOVE my neighborhood. I love this place that has nurtured me as a person, fostered me as a piercer, and is incubating me as a business owner. I seriously encourage all of you-- Plaza Midwood or elsewhere-- to stop today and pick up 3 pieces of trash. And then do that tomorrow. And the next day. Every day, put forth the intention to love wherever you live and the planet you live on.
I'll be in around 12:30 today. I'm heading home to shower and change so I can be fresh for all of you. Let's make today a good day and let's try to work together for a better tomorrow!
