I asked her why don't you put captions anymore. She said she is unable to write anymore like she used to. Then I thought about it, what makes a caption a caption.
Caption is what makes a still (picture) a story. Words define before and after of a still. But how will you put words in a caption, how will you think and define a story. Hinting and making it interesting but not telling word by word what happened in that moment. Sometimes it's instant, sometimes it takes days and weeks of munching and crunching of that moment, that story, a lot of words 24x7 to put it right, when you aren't asleep at night, when you are winning blink skipping game with moon, when you are gazing through the stars, when you are talking back to the breeze, when sound of flowing water reminds you of other moments, when you kiss the dew before flowers do, when your breath chirps before birds. And then its just not one moment you are finding words for. It's your whole time you spent together doing flash rounds in front of your wide open eyes and you fight with yourself to carve a story of that one moment you captured a picture of, to put it in a way it tells everything to the person you shared that moment with and leaving them smiling and blushing and left everyone else wondering and curious.
