After a dominant weekend, reigning champion Lewis Hamilton has won the #2018 French Grand Prix! His third win of the season, first win in France, and his 65th career win! Max Verstappen finished in a distant 2nd, his second consecutive podium, followed by Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen in 3rd, who stepped up after his teammate's blunder. Daniel Ricciardo fell to 4th after running 3rd all race, due to hitting debris. Raikkonen's teammate, Sebastian Vettel, recovered to finish 5th after locking up on the first lap and running into the back of Hamilton's teammate, Valterri Bottas, who would recover to finish 7th. Kevin Magnussen of Haas would score a 6th place finish. Renault's Carlos Sainz and Nico Hulkenberg finish P8 and P9 after a strong weekend. Finally, rookie sensation Charles Leclerc of Sauber, would finish in 10th, his fourth points finish in the last five races. What was predicted to be a boring race, with no overtaking, turned out to be pretty good eh? Fast, lots of overtaking, crashes, and a constructor diverse podium! What more could you ask for? Hamilton now has the points lead, 14 points ahead of Vettel. Both, in their quest for a fifth championship. Don't worry, the racing isn't done yet! This was just the first part of triple-header! Next week F1 hits the fast and unforgiving Red Bull Ring, for the Austrian Grand Prix! Stay tuned, as we'll go more in depth about this race, and the track tomorrow. As of today, next stop we check out the Indycar action at Road America!
