3 of 3: My late maternal grandfather, Kenneth “Boompie” Langford, was an avid photographer throughout his life. As a young man, he served in the army during World War II as a photographer and photo lab technician. Throughout his later life and into retirement, photography remained his hobby, and he even made a darkroom in his house. My mother recently gave me Boompie’s old Nikon FE, which had been packed away in a closet since his death in 1997. Not knowing if or how well the camera worked — it had not been used in over 25 years — I figured that test driving it with a roll of the now-discontinued Agfa Vista Plus 200 film would be appropriate. One could say this is a #tbt.
