4 HACKS TO MANAGE YOUR CRAZY DAYS. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
You may read some of these things that go on MY list and think "DUH, Naomi" and you're right, some of them are super obvious, yet somehow we forget that adapting these simple habits can make our days SO much easier and less 'crazy'
*SLEEP* Common sense, guys. Getting adequate sleeps helps with...everything. Productivity, energy levels, workouts, nutrition, relationships, mood. You are probably sick of hearing it from me, but I will reinforce it until the the cows come home. Without sleep, nothing good can happen. Go to bed 15 minutes earlier, don't look at your phone before bed, make your bed your sleeping palace, keep the room cold. Just GET TO SLEEP.
*DON'T READ YOUR EMAILS WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF WAKING* Sometimes they’re important and sometimes they’re not. But if you’re like me, then you have this knee-jerk reaction of wanting to respond to every email right away. In the morning your mind is fresh and ready to take on anything. Use that time to focus on the most important thing you want to accomplish that day. Set aside specific blocks of time on your calendar for checking emails and only do so within those time frames.
*SAY NO* yep, Cancel your plans. If you say 'yes' to almost any person, anything and any oopourtunity, you probably feel you are spreading yourself thin. This is detrimental for your productivity and mental health. If you don’t know how to say “no”, then it can be difficult to be in control of your own time. In order to stay focused on the top priorities and tasks, you need to be able to say no when distractions arise. It is NOT easy to say no and takes some practice, so start by things that really aren't that important and you can always reschedule for another time. I think you’ll find that canceling plans can be liberating.
*COFFEE* It's no surprise my love and desire for coffee first thing in the morning. That aroma in the morning makes me SO happy and ready tackle the day. The energy boost I get from coffee in the morning not only helps me stay focused but creative as well! ☕️☕️
