Day 38 - The most powerful motivation comes from within. Within your mind, you’re able to search for your true motivation why you do what you do. Why you push yourself at the gym, why you push yourself at your job, why you hustle in business, why you put in so much effort for your family. Whatever it may be, your motivation is yours. Your goals are yours for a reason because you only have yourself to answer for if you fall short.
Speaking from my past experience, setting fitness goals has NOT always been easy. Let me explain. Starting out I saw people who could lift an insane amount of weight, do crazy cardio routines on a daily basis, and have continual progress with no plateaus. What I was looking at was not the average person, not the natural bodybuilder, and not the average Joe. It led to unrealistic goals which was immensely frustrating when beginning to work out. Don’t get me wrong, I made progress and felt stronger but it was nowhere near the kind of progress I was seeing from the people I idolized. I would say it took me about a year for my mindset to shift along with my goals. I targeted realistic goals which led towards a path of satisfaction and self-sustaining motivation. Goals work the best when they are specific, reasonable, and attainable. Always remember why you do what you do. Your motivation is yours for a reason.
