Even as a #specialneedsmom it’s important to keep trying new foods, meals, protocols, therapies, supplements, drugs (sometimes), routines, schools (sometimes), helpers, teachers, etc in order to find what works best for you and your loved one. Three benefits to trying the new include:
1. Overcome the fear we have of trying something new or that something may happen. I’m not saying to just change it up for the sake of change but there is always another level! If you or your loved one has plateaued then in order to keep growing / getting better / improving its time to try something new to help get to that next level. Never settle and be happy on the plateau!
2. Get to know yourself better - you’ll never know if you or your loved one will like something unless you try it. It may be the answer you were looking for ... maybe it isn’t. But in the meantime you will learn About that change and if you or your loved one likes it. And if that didn’t work you can still go and check out the next thing.
3. You stimulate creativity - for many of us and our kids the answers that we need are not necessarily out there - yet. We are the pioneers forging our way. What we learn and share will benefit other #specialneedsparents and their loved ones. So when you try new things, you put your brain into unique situations that force it to really think. This stimulates creativity, which eventually rubs off in other areas of your life. As a result, you begin to think about everything in a new light. That’s how #blenderizeddiets came about. That’s how #intensivemultitreatmentintervention was born ...NEVER GIVE UP! Keep trying something new and share it with all of us!! #trysomethingnew #miraclesdohappen #blenderizeddiet
