8 Healthy Habits That Will Change You in 2019! ⠀ Effective, achievable and available to everyone ⠀ ⠀1. Drink several cups of pure water after awakening and before breakfast (0,5 to 1l). Do not calculate this water intake as your daily water consumption as it is meant to assist the body in completing the night time detoxification processes ⠀2. Chew the food properly. The golden rule states “drink the solid food and eat the fluid”. Poorly digested food causes numerous digestive illnesses, weight changes and other pathological states ⠀3. Maintain the alkaline to acidic food balance with 80/20 ratio. This means eat more live fresh foods like vegetables, fruits and greens and drink clean water ⠀4. Substitute cows milk and it’s byproducts with home-made nut milks and cheeses. You will feel great, the swelling will decrease, the inflammation will reduce, the gut function will improve. Read more in the previous posts ⠀5. Attempt to eat one type of food per meal. Different food items need different degrees of stomach juices and enzymes, which when combined zero each other’s effects leaving the food poorly digested causing fermentation, gases, bloating and indigestion ⠀6. Drink enough pure water per day. Calculate your level with this formula: 30ml of water per 1kg of weight. Note that if you drink coffee, alcohol and soft drinks you will need to make up for it with more water (and nutrients) ⠀7. Attempt to pause food consumption for one or more days. If this is too extreme for you then start with intermittent fasting, which can be done from the moment of early dinner until late lunch the next day. This is an effective method of improving energy levels, improving sleep, maintaining weight and assisting digestive function ⠀8. Finally, address your additions. I believe that will power is a muscle that can be trained. Train it to let go of those habits that no longer serve you and substitute them with healthy activities. I love Xmas and for some reason the buzz hasn’t quite kicked in for me yet. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s soggy and cold outside. So I thought maybe if I make some Xmas inspired delights it might amp up the feelings a little more. I do my best to avoid refined sugar however I’m also and advocate for balance. I have always wanted to make a meringue wreath and so I did. I even swirled some cacao through it so it had something of benefit added to it 😂 oh and the fruit has got to count for something right? 😏

COCONUT milk icing on banana bread yummmmmmmmmmmmmy💗💖💗 @regrann @sophieshealthykitchen 🍌🍌🍌Banana bread is so much better when it’s topped with icing right!?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🙌🏻 I feel you just can’t beat a good banana bread and you know I love my sweet stuff so I’ve topped it with some coconut icing too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😋You won’t regret making this one! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👩🏻‍🍳INGREDIENTS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - 1 cup of spelt flour (or whole meal) - 1/2 cup of oat flour - 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar - 1 tsp of baking powder - 2 medium mashed bananas (preferably ripe) - 2 eggs - or 2 flaxseed eggs - 3/4 cup of plant milk - 1/4 cup honey - 2 tsp of vanilla extract - 1 tsp of cinnamon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥄ICING - 1 x 400ml tin coconut milk - 2 tbsp icing sugar - ½ tsp vanilla extract ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️METHOD - Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and grease a 1lb loaf tin with coconut oil. In a bowl, combine all wet ingredients. Then add the flours, sugar and baking powder.  Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes (until knife comes out clean). Whilst the bread is baking you can prepare your icing. (See method for icing) Once the bread is baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from the tin. Allow the bread to cool completely before icing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️METHOD FOR ICING Shake the tin of coconut milk and chill it in the fridge overnight. Spoon out the coconut cream, leaving the liquid in the tin. Keep the liquid as you may need to use some to loosen the cream. Briefly whisk the coconut milk with the icing sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread on top of the banana bread (once cooled) and finish off with chopped hazelnuts. (optional). 🍃 THE NOURISH CO 🍃 I had to share 🤗🙌🏽😍. . Tonight’s little ladies’ culinary creation: Honey Mustard & Coconut Crusted Cod 😋 . Super easy to make and great for kiddo helpers. ❤️ . 1/3 cup each fresh lemon juice, mustard and olive oil with 2 tbsp honey. (This makes extra for salad dressing.) . Pour on top of cod loins of other fish and then sprinkle with generous handfuls of unsweetened shredded coconut (I think we used about 2/3 cup). . Bake @ 375 until the fish is firm and flaky. (Ours took about 25 minutes.) . Now go get those kiddos cooking! 😊

I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since I made the best decision in my life to explant and remove my implants. . .
