This has been incredibly true for me this year. Last year was meh, I realized I needed to figure out more about ME. • January 1, my TV completely died. What do I do?!? 🙀 • I went for a walk in the cold weather, sat on a bench & meditated. Meditating in public, who am I?!? Something I was completely uncomfortable doing in public (still not comfortable) • Meditating that day & really sitting with the fact that I had to live without my TV (haha!), I decided to create goals for life, work & health for the FIRST TIME. EVER.
• Sounds fricking crazy but it’s true. I sat down, w/the help of @ and @ Balanced Bites Master Class guide and wrote down goals.
• I was about to turn 40 and didn’t truly feel satisfied w/my life or ready for this big milestone. It seemed like this huge dark cloud over me. I wanted to BE ABLE to turn 40.
• 3 things came out of that day: *Start a gratitude journal* every day I sit down & write what I’m thankful for. It can be very small or something huge. Some days (the harder days) it’s small (warm shower, my gorgeous drive to work or my comfy bed). Other days it’s super easy. But every night before I go to bed, I write something down.
*Try something new each month* this also could be something small or large. As simple as volunteering, meditating in public, starting a gratitude journal, going to a book signing, giving blood, etc. *Finally -start the BB Master Class* (purchased a year prior but...LIFE) to find out if this holistic nutrition stuff was my jam. I actually didn’t completely finish the program, but all 3 of these things brought me to where I am today. • The first two really created my current happiness and fulfillment in life. I was trying new things, making my life feel more meaningful. I am appreciating all the things, small and large. And now I’m starting this journey that I know will change my life and hoping to change many others. •Thanks @ for posting this, it really spoke to me and made me reflect on this last year and how it got me where I am. • I hope you all find gratitude in each day, big or small. It can truly change your attitude and happiness in this big world. ❤️
