Try this recipe!⠀ ⠀ Italian Style Veal with Spaghetti Squash⠀ ⠀ Ingredients⠀ 4 cups Squash, Winter, Spaghetti, Baked⠀ 2 clove Garlic, Raw⠀ 28 oz Tomato, Diced, No Added Salt⠀ 2 tablespoons Parsley, Raw⠀ 1 tablespoons Vegetable Oil, Canola⠀ 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper, Ground⠀ 2 teaspoons Oregano, Dried, Leaves⠀ 1/4 teaspoons Salt, Sea⠀ 16 oz Veal Breast, Raw, Slf⠀ ⠀ Instructions⠀ 1. Heat oil in a large saute pan over medium heat.⠀ 2. Season the 4, 4 oz veal breasts on each side with salt, pepper, and oregano.⠀ 3. Carefully add veal to hot oil and brown on both sides.⠀ 4. While veal is browning, mince garlic.⠀ 5. Reduce heat to low and add garlic; cook until garlic is browned.⠀ 6. Add canned tomatoes and parsley.⠀ 7. Cover with lid and reduce heat to low simmer until veal is tender (about 1 hour).⠀ 8. BABY STEPS = MOMENTUM ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While studying for the GRE, I was so overwhelmed by the amount of material and the lofty study goals I had placed on myself (15 hours per week with 80 hours leading up to two weeks before the exam) that I literally crashed and burned. The amount was so overwhelming in a short amount of time that I ended up doing the complete opposite of my plan and of course, didn’t get the score I wanted. Can you relate? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With any large goal you have in mind, remember that it always takes commitment to baby steps to get there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But even THAT sounds overwhelming, when you’re taking step 1 and you know you have 1000 more to go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My bf is the ultimate in dedication to baby steps. Theres nothing quite like him. When I was struggling with the GRE, he taught me something so valuable, which is about the snowball effect. Or as he says, momentum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The first step is always so mentally challenging and downright scary. But what happens when you take that first step and meet the challenge? A wave of confidence, energy, and pride. This gives you some momentum into step 2. A little more momentum into step 3. A compounding effect starts to generate. Now you start to crave the success from meeting the challenge. Before you even realize it, you’re at step 1000 with significantly more ease and personal value than you could have ever anticipated. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With the GRE, I broke it into one hour daily chunks at 7:30AM each day. I promised myself that 1) it would come before literally anything else in my day with 0 thought and 2) that if I sit on my ass all day and watch the Kardashians but still got my 1hr GRE work in, then I had a damn successful day & get my gold star. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How can we apply this to healthy habits? Lets say you’re obsessed w cheese but you know it makes your joints inflamed, gives you brain fog, and brings your energy down, yet you can’t not have your daily dose (sign of addiction). Promise yourself for the foreseeable future or X months that you will no longer eat cheese. Even if you took down a funnel of cookies all day, you get a gold star for not eating cheese. Seriously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s to generating momentum😈

There was a time when I attempted to control my body by eating the kale and doing the yoga (excessively). While I might of looked “great” to society’s ridiculous standards, my heart and mind were broken. • Health and wellness are not just trendy hashtags found under a picture of a salad. They are much more than that! Being healthy + well includes your mental and emotional wellbeing too. • Look inside yourself. Love yourself. Become your own best friend.
