Mudslides just closed the canyon for a bit. We love the rain and are super happy that our oak trees and meadows have been getting a lot of it and a soaking this week. Many good things come with a few drawbacks and for us it is things like mudslides. (Better than fires anyway.) If you plan to visit the Outpost for the next few days you might want to check to make sure our winding canyon road down to the PCH is open and clear down to the Pacific Ocean. Cal trans closed it abruptly last night. (PS. When we opened our original shop on Hollywood Blvd. we were neighbors to the Kodak Theatre and the Egyptian Theater in the most congested part of the Hollywood Walk Fame. Hollywood Blvd in front of the shop was constantly closed for movie productions, premieres, marches, parades, The Academy Awards, marathons, runs, walks, protest, the list goes on. We learned early on not to let it bother us. Rather than being upset, we manage our time for projects and catch up work when our road is closed. We are always thankful and appreciative our incredible neighborhood and the trials surrounding us in Topanga Canyon.
