Coconut and chocolate porridge I ❤️porridge. 1/2 cup oats 2 tablespoons fresh shredded coconut 1 tablespoon chia seeds 1 tablespoon coconut oil 1 tablespoon liquid sweetener 1/4 cup almond milk Mix all of the ingredients together except the almond milk. Cover with boiling water and leave for a couple of minutes. Then add the almond milk, stir and leave for another minute. [ you oat-a know ] ... Lazy Saturday brekkies ... inspired by a simple meal that I used to eat a lot as a kid ... whether early in the morning or sometimes even for a midnight “snack”, my parents had a quick n easy meal they would whip up for me and my brother ... kimchi, spam and egg that we would construct into bites on top of a spoonful of “mul bap” (물밥), which literally translates to “water rice” ... mul bap was Korean white sticky rice, over which we’d poor cold water (or sometimes cold barley tea) to make a sort of loose, cold “porridge” ... it sounds strange, but it’s just something that my family really LOVED eating, and only with kimchi, spam and rice ... any other Korean-American families that did this? I’ve always wondered if it was only us 🤔 ... i didn’t have any sticky rice in my pantry, and i can’t really eat spam anymore, but i manage to make something somewhat similar 😉 ... . 🍚 organic steel cut oats, simmered into a loose warm porridge with homemade chicken stock ... topped with a runny yolk egg fried in bacon fat (to replace the “spam”, kind of lol) and homemade bok choy kimchi ... touch of sesame oil, bit of melted butter (which goes really well with kimchi flavors - try it!), and bedazzled with scallion and sesame seeds ... . 🍚 the bok choy kimchi (김치) was pretty tasty and on point, considering it was my first time really ever making kimchi (i know, i know - i’m such  a bad Korean! 😣 but, better late than never!) ... i quartered lengthwise some bok choy (from @imperfectproduce 💚), let is sit and break down a bit with some salt for about 20 minutes, rinsed it, then rubbed in a paste of garlic, asian pear, scallion, fish sauce and super spicy Korean red  chili pepper powder aka gochugaru (고추가루) ... stuffed it into a mason jar and let it ferment room temp for about 3 days (making sure to open up the lid daily to release the built up gases) ... and voila! pungent, tasty, spicy amazing kimchi! 🙌 ... will definitely be making more w/ all kinds of cabbage, radish, etc! ... . 🍚 #homemade #lovemade #homecooking #imadethis #instagood #instafood #eeeeeats #feedfeed #lifeandthyme #f52grams #huffposttaste #buzzfeast #foodandwine #oatmeal #kimchi

Hedonizmus🙈 ••••••••••••••••••••••• Ma futás után egy ilyen gyönyörű almás-fahéjas zabkásával kényeztettem magam, amire tettem sharonfriutot, házi cm spekulatius krémet, étcsoki cseppeket, chiamagot és kókuszos granolát. Reggeli közben Malcolm in the middle-t néztem, a reklámok közben pedig a Runner’s worldöt olvasgattam. Nekem általában a hétvégéim sem a pihenésről szólnak, mert mindig van házimunka és/vagy fordítanivaló az egyetemre, de fontosnak tartom ilyen esetekben is az #énidő-t. Nekem most ez volt az. Néha leülök az Xbox elé, és Assassin’s creedezek, néha könyvet olvasok, néha pedig sorozatot nézek. Viszont általában a szombat 09:30-11:30 az szent és sérthetetlen nálam (ilyenkor megy a Malcolm🤷🏼‍♀️😂) mondjuk ma közben bepakoltam egy mosást és egy mosogatógépet is, meg a végén begöngyöltem a húst is, de közben azért hallgattam a történéseket🙈 szerintem már minden részét láttam már ezerszer, de még mindig tudok nevetni rajta. “I regret not dieting hard enough” is probably not going to be on your list of regrets when you’re 80... • I think I am safe to say the things that may be on your regret list could include: - Avoiding functions and celebrations due to fear around what food there will be and eating something that is unknown - not making the most of holidays because you’re consumed by a voice telling you you’re eating too much - not going out for breakfast with your love on a Sunday morning because you’re worried about calories - not being able to carry a child because you cannot face the concept of gaining weight and eating enough to grow a healthy baby. - I’m sure when I am 80 these are the regrets I would have if I keep living by the rules of anorexia. Please don’t look back on your life when you’re 80 and have these kind of regrets! After all, you really do only live once and it’s your responsibility to make the most of this opportunity! Yesterday morning I made these 3 jars for breakfast, which were perfect for an indecisive individual like myself 😉 Happy Sunday 😘

Saturday Brunch 💐 Baked Apple Pear Oatmeal. . . INGREDIENTS. 2-3 cups gluten free oats 2 apples, peeled & sliced 2 pears, peeled & sliced 3 tablespoon hemp hearts 1 tablespoon maple syrup 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 2 cups almond milk DIRECTIONS. . Pour all of the ingredients into a large baking dish except apples & pears. Stir contents until well combined. Flatten it out and place the apples & pears over top. Sprinkle a touch of cinnamon over top. Bake at 400 degrees F. For 15-18 minutes. Top with yogurt and berries or eat plain. Stores well in the fridge up to 4 days.

Sticky oatmeal 🙏🏻 today i needed an extra sticky oatmeal! Usually I prefere my oatmeal more creamy than sticky but from time to time I love to have my oatmeal very sticky. If you want your oatmeal sticky use less liquid and optional some psyllium husk and if you want to have a more creamy consistency use more liquid, cook it a bit longer and/ or replace a part of your oats with oat flour/ oat flakes- easy as that 😊 🇩🇪 Hello ihr Lieben, heute mal mit extra sticky Oatmeal. After lunch I met my best friend ❤and her kids and we had a long walk along the shores of the small lake Lago Laprello🏞-my favorite place. Started off the day with a big session to cap off the weeks training! Followed by an afternoon of football ⚽️ . Couldn’t wait to try these @nutrynuts peanut butter cups and I have to say they didn’t disappoint, 2 cups pack 14g of protein aswell so it’s a win a win! . I teamed the cups up with 30g of @gonutritionuk Triple Chocolate Whey in the oats which was also delicious...though a little tip add some cocoa to chocolate oatmeal to give it that rich dark velvety texture 😍 . Waffles for one. ☝🏽Before I met my hubby, I was often just cooking for one (myself). And it’s always tough to modify recipes when they are designed for multiple people. I took the liberty of making these waffles single serving to enjoy for today. Topped them with persimmon, cranberries, pomegranate and some remaining strawberries I splurged on. ✨ . Buckwheat Cardamom Waffles (gluten free) 1/4 cup buckwheat flour or oat flour 1 packet instant oats (I used chia crunch from @rightfoods) 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 2 tsp sugar of choice (I used coconut sugar) 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cardamom 1 tsp white vinegar 1/2 cup almond milk Pinch of salt 🥣 . Combine dry ingredients then whisk in wet ingredients in a small bowl. Allow mixture to sit for at least 5 minutes to thicken slightly. Scoop 1/4 cup of batter and pour onto center of preheated waffle iron (if you can adjust heat, set it to medium heat). Allow batter to cook until the indicator on the waffle iron goes off. Carefully open iron and pull cooked waffle off. Repeat with remaining batter. Should make 3 medium sized waffles. 🙌🏽

There's nothing quite better than a warm bowl of oats on a cool Saturday morning 🙌 These pumpkin oats gave us all the fall feels this morning 🍁🍁🍁 RECIPE 🍁🍁🍁 - 2 tsp coconut oil - 1 tsp cinnamon - 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice - 1/2 cup steel cut oats - 1/2 cup pumpkin puree - 1/2 tsp salt - 2 cups almond milk - 1 persimmon, diced - nut butter - maple syrup - coconut flakes Heat coconut oil in a pot over medium heat, then add spices and stir until fragrant. Add oats and stir some more. Add pumpkin puree, salt, and almond milk and cook over low heat, uncovered, for 25 mins, stirring occasionally. Add more milk while cooking as needed. Top with persimmon, nut butter, coconut flakes, and maple syrup. Enjoy!

PORRIDGE POTIMARRON 🥣 - Voici le délicieux p’tit dej’ réalisé cette semaine, que vous avez peut-être vu en story, un porridge au potimarron ! La recette vous tente, la voilà 🤗 Recette : ▪️Dans une casserole, verser 35 à 40gr de flocons d’avoine, 140gr de lait de soja, 1cs de sirop d’érable, 1cc de vanille liquide, 1cc de mélange épices à pain d’épices (ou cannelle si vous n’avez pas), mettre à cuire à feu doux. Lorsque le porridge est bien épaissit, ajouter 50gr de purée de potimarron (nature bien sûr, pas celle avec des herbes de Provence de la veille 😂😂), bien mélanger, laisser gonfler encore quelques minutes et voilà c’est prêt !!
