Amaterasu bless Nintendo for having the switch not region locked! 🇪🇺🤝🇯🇵🤝🇱🇷 Okami is easily one of the best Zelda-like of all time, even surpassing some of the installments of Nintendo's franchise, and one of the best game of the last two decades. Its mechanics are completely on point, with the originality of the celestial brush mixing the formula up interestingly. However, it's the visual and musical production of Clover's title that will drive you to explore each and every inch of its world: the title is a splendid homage to japanese culture, pictural aesthetic and legends. The game is still stunning today, even in its original version, and will forever be one of the most beautiful work the medium has to offer, a poetic invitation to travel.
Even though it's originally a PS2 game, I have always found the Wii version to be well more suited for its gameplay. The pointer controls of the Wii-mote seem indeed completely made for the type of actions required by the celestial brush, and it's way less pace-breaking than the ever awkward use of a stick to draw. That is also why I picked the switch version for this (Xrd) re-release, as I hope the gyro controls in docked mode, and touch controls in handheld mode can approach the level of the Wii-mote on this particular aspects, even though I doubt it can be as pleasant to use ^^" but at least this mean no more motion controls to attack 😅
Tell me your experiences of this amazing game!! 🐕🌹🍃🎴🌄🎨🌌 #okami #okamihd #nintendowii #wii #nintendoswitch #switch
