WARNING: This is a brag post.
I’ve been busting my butt working towards this trip. I spent countless hours at the gym. I quit smoking, I cut WAY back on booze, dairy, and caffeine. I bit the bullet and created a bigger financial hole than I care to acknowledge. But, Grenada was a trip for the books. It was my first time diving in open-ocean. I hit my PB Freedive depth of 70ft, (although that caused me to get nose bleeds every day after). I witnessed a wild 1,000lb. leatherback turtle attempt to nest on the beach. I swam with a WILD eagle ray- one NOT in an aquarium tank. I experienced my first ever swim-up bar. I made a friends with a local who I spoke hours with about the cosmos, sexism, and memes. I photographed in open-ocean, which is a completely separate beast from freediving. And although I didn’t BUY any spices from the spice island, I DID get to try some out for myself while I was there. 😎💨 I debated staying, but I couldn’t bare the thought of giving up on Sylvia. I’m stoked to be back and helping out with the last few adjustments. 🚐🛠 BRING IT ON!!!
