Today I want to share a few of my most recent purchases from some of my favourite small brands. Shopping small/independent is brilliant on so many levels. (Yes it’s true we genuinely do a little dance when we receive an order), but also you are buying something that has been imagined by an individual and created with exceptional skill and genuine love ❤️. Not to mention the customer service when buying small is often second to none 👍🏻. So like I said, these are some of my favourites I have bought recently (not gifted) for Christmas presents this year... * @ Christmas cards - I discovered Vicky about 6 months ago and fell in love with her beautiful, simple and chic illustrations instantly. They are heading off to my trendier-than-me friends next week.
* Rabbit artwork by @ - I met Emma last year at a craft fair we were both at. Not only is her work beautiful but she is also just lovely. I knew instantly which piece I wanted, and chose the ‘Wild Hare’ for Myla’s bedroom. * @ Christmas decoration - Amanda makes the most incredible one off pieces, all crafted from home grown gourds. Sometimes they are made into lights, but every one is completely unique and a complete one off. I also met Amanda at a fair in the Spring, and her craftsmanship blew me away (she was on TV this week with Kirsty Allsoop too 💪🏻).
* @ - I’ve got the perfect presents for my friends little boys this year, although it’ll be the hardest present to give as I want to keep them all to myself 😆.
* @ crocheted unicorn - Hats off to anyone that can crochet. The designs that Lisa makes are modern and stylish and her pieces are a real keepsake. I’ll always try and buy a handmade cuddly toy instead of a shop bought one because of the love that went into making it.
