Have you ever investigated what pleasure is?
When you look at a beautiful face, for example, you experiment pleasure, which makes you think 'how beautiful she/he is', 'I want to see her/him again tomorrow'... While you are looking at that face, you are not seeing it directly, you are not seeing what is, because thought has interfiered and started to create an opinion about it. So you try to maintain that image of that face on your mind, because you like it and it is pleasant to you.
Then, pleasure is something from thought, it is memory, it is the past, it is about yesterday and you want to repeate it today, tomorrow...
But Love is not memory, it is not an idea, not a theory, it is not the past, neither the future, and it is not something from thought. Love is about the present, therefore, pleasure is not love.
