The legend and the legendary.. bare feet, wearing orange - the colour of their belief, with all their slender possessions on their shoulders, up-following the holy river maa Ganga, towards her point of birth in the snow capped Gaumukh mountain, now for a few days, walking in silence and faith ☀️ Acknowledging them as baba, Maharaj, sadhu, an ascetic and their life of freedom through the choice of living a life to seek a religious spiritual path over fulfilling sensual pleasures.
Be the rider, not the mule
Possessions are meant for a certain utility and it must be surrendered once the purpose is solved but we humans to feed our insecurities, greed and image ego, we keep on collecting and carrying this baggage of emotional, material and social unnecessaries on our being. All these desired possessions comes with their own weights, attachments, needs and demands which causes one more insecurities, fear, greed, selfishness, indifference which may later lead to depression, oppression, supression, aggression, ill-valued and inhuman acts.
A smile on a young man riding a cycle with his working wife is much lighter and happier than the man in an exclusive car with an exotic wife.
