How Do Climb Series - "Will's Wise Words"
Here we can see Will. The majestic mountain man. He loves the rock and the rock loves him. He is a gentle soul, who takes extreme care when placing gear as not to damage the rock. Trad climbing is his weapon of choice and Anasazi's are his ammunition. It is believed that he came out of the womb wearing a harness with a full rack. He is wise in mind but not in body and responded to the claims that 'trad climbing is just for grumpy old climbers afraid of change' by saying "they're right". However, these were controversial words for the young climber who has previously stated on many occasions that "trad climbing is the purest form of the sport". Born and raised on a farm, he has the upper body strength of a small tractor which allows him to breeze up even the toughest of climbs. When asked his opinions on the other forms of climbing, he said "I crave that deep sense of relief when you pass the crux and get your hands on some big jugs. But to put it in layman terms, I enjoy anything that allows me to play with my nuts and smear my body over rocks"
Will's Wise Words for the climbing community on this occasion are: "Make sure not to entrench yourself too much in the climbing lingo otherwise you'll end up saying bomber a lot in public and people on the bus will overhear you talking about the deep greasy cracks that you were inside at the weekend"
