Day 1: I started my journey from Guwahati, still quite unwell from food-poisioning (which caused fever - 103 F ! 🤒). After Tezpur, my condition bettered. But I still didn't have a plan. I was venturing into a zone of pretty bad network connectivity (good enough for making calls, but not very good for browsing the net). Somehow I was not worried and wanted to decide things on the go (as if I had any other choice). My fellow sumo- mates (there are shared sumos running in Arunachal - the only budget option for solo travelers), helped me with figuring out my stay in Bomdilla (a budget hotel) and Tawang (3 of the girls from Arunachal hosted me at their place). Many of these people I met along my way shared their contact numbers with me, in case I needed their help later.
I also got bitten by Damdum (a local insect, even less inconspicuous than a mosquito) which didn't cause much discomfort at that time, but is annoying af at this time (almost after 10 days) 😓. Locals suggest that you ooze out the blood after getting bitten, which I did. 😑 .... to be continued .... Teaser of what's upcoming: Trying out the local cuisines, meeting locals, treks, hitchhiking when not finding cabs, stargazing, camping by the river etc. etc. 😁
