WHAT'S NEXT, EVEREST?
I get asked a lot about Everest and when I'm going to give it a go. For some, Everest is the dream, the challenge which gets them into exploring in the first place.
For me, it's never been on the list. I listen to the stories of others and I follow their encounters as they tackle the formidable mountain. Standing at 29,029 ft (8,848m) straddling Nepal and Tibet it's a mountain which has taken well over 200 lives, with just as many bodies remaining on the mountain. I spent time out in the Arctic Circle earlier this year taking on an expedition as part of the third group ever to do it in winter. It was cold (-26C) and a challenge but with a much lower risk of death. I'm not going to say never and after hearing @bonitanorris speak I did think about it for 5 minutes but I really don't think it's for me. The Poles on the other hand ... well that that's a totally different story! What about you, what's on your wish list? #Everest #DreamBig #LivingInTheWeekend
