Writing a story for a video is a great exercice.
It takes some time to come up with a compelling narrative and to translate it into a coherent script.
For The Eternal Valley, it was about Mother Nature talking to her son (humankind) that drifted away from her. We didn’t want to go for the negative side, as a mother wouldn’t be judgmental towards her child even if he doesn’t act nicely. Instead, she would be caring and welcoming. She would be there whenever the child needs her.
This is what we went for, for this story. The Eternal Valley, the place itself, represents Mother Nature. It represents home. And the mother observes her child as he learns, grows, discovers, and ultimately, drifts away before coming back.
What did you think about the video, especially the narrative? What feelings did it give you? I would love to know!
