How do you stay active during the day? 🏃🏻♀️ Probably most of us live quite a passive lifestyle, where we are required to sit a little too much during the day. My life is usually divided either into sitting for 8-12 hours straight, or standing/ walking for the same amount of time without sitting down. When the sitting down part happens (on most days), I make sure to do the little things which help me to stay active. Here are a few small things you can do:
Always walk up and down the escalator when taking a tube. I always do that because I’m just too impatient to stand, but it is a great leg and butt exercise! Just generally - taking stairs instead of standing in the lift is always a great idea! 💁🏻♀️ Try to walk to any destination which requires 15-30 minute walk instead of taking a bus/ tube. Also, if a ride takes the same amount of time as a walk, always go for a walk. 🚶🏻♀️ These aren’t big things at all, but I feel like even doing that can make a change. It’s easy to get into a habit of sitting down, standing on the escalator and using public transport for any kind of distances, but these little things are the easiest to change and add to your daily activities. 😊 .
P.S. I’m totally talking about London life under every NYC post. I know, so deceiving! 😜
