Do you do intermittent fasting? By @smurray_32 ➖ Intermittent fasting is nothing but a time schedule, a time schedule that allows for bigger meals = increased satiation = increased adherence = longer term results, BUT! It’s not magic and definitely not the only way to structure your diet, just a possible option that may be suited to you. ➖ For my (and many others out there) lifestyle, IF works perfectly as, it allows me to get up early, bang out my workout, snack (or fast) while I tend to some more “important” work in the late morning/afternoon and THEN break my fast. Is It optimal? Another 5 minute meal using my meal prep chicken. This is spicy cauliflower rice (pulao) and butter chicken. 😋 Chicken took one pan to put together and was extremely hassle free. I am loving this meal prep life!! 😍😁 Recipe- Cauliflower rice- Put 500 gm cauliflower florets and a tbsp of ghee with a pinch of salt in a pan and let it cook until soft. Add in spices (cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, chilli powder and salt) and a cup of water and let it all steam. Butter chicken- Fry the chicken. In the same pan add puree of 2 tomatoes, 1 onion and 6 garlic cloves. Let cook till the fat separates. Add in the spices, kasuri methi and the chicken. Add half cup water and let it all cook. 📎 ¿Revertir la diabetes tipo 1 en etapas tempranas es posible? ⠀ .⠀ La diabetes tipo 1 es una enfermedad autoinmune. No es que nuestro páncreas no segregue insulina, sino que nuestro cuerpo ataca al páncreas como si este fuera un enemigo. ⠀ .⠀ Cuando tienes una enfermedad autoinmune y no tratas de normalizar tus anticuerpos, con los años tiendes a desarrollar una, dos o tres enfermedades autoinmunes mas...⠀ .⠀ Desde el primer instante que me enteré (Marzo 2018) me he mostrado incansable por intentar revertir esta situación. Actualmente ya sabemos la causa de las enfermedades autoinmunes (normalmente vienen generadas por un intestino permeable, un poco de genética y algunos factores externos) por lo que aún no siendo fácil curarlas 100%, podemos revertirlas (en el momento que nos descuidemos volveremos a padecerlas).⠀ .⠀ En el caso de la diabetes tipo 1 tenemos 3 anticuerpos para poder detectarla en una analítica (así como en Hashimoto tenemos los TPO y los anti-Tiroglubulina). Estos son: IA-2, GAD/65K y Insulina (además de otros valores como glucosa, insulina, fructosamina, H A1C... pero hoy me he querido centrar en los anticuerpos).⠀ . ⠀ En esta foto he querido mostrar la progresión de mi diabetes tipo 1 (con fechas y los 3 anticuerpos implicados). Los GAD/65K eran bastante escandalosos en Marzo del 2018 (376 cuando deben estar inferiores a 5), en esa época yo llevaba 2 semanas comiendo entre AIP y Paleo. Actualmente llevo 5 meses comiendo de esta manera y mirad mis anticuerpos de este mismo agosto del 2018 (80,7). No están en rango pero estoy muy feliz con esa bajada de más del doble y más feliz porque simplemente se ha realizado modificando la alimentación (en este último análisis ni siquiera estaba tomando suplementación ), aún no he trabajado otras causas (SIBO, estrés de la vida diaria...), por ello este resultado aún es mejor! Por que aún hay muchísimo rango de mejora.⠀ .⠀ Por lo que, quien decía que las enfermedades autoinmunes eran crónicas? Sino fuera por todo el auto conocimiento adquirido estos meses posiblemente en unos años seria insulino dependiente.⠀ .

As you can see from the list of benefits above, it seems like a pretty good idea to be getting enough or at least some Vitamin D to optimise our health. However as we are getting into those darker months and the days are becoming shorter, we are starting to see less and less sunshine. ☀️ Not long ago, it was said that the majority of the UK population (may) be deficient in Vit D. Which as we can see from the above picture, can cause problems like fatigue, a weaker immune system and at it’s worst, Rickets. Regardless of whether this statement was/is correct evidentially, it is important to be aware, especially in a country that lacks in frequent sunshine, that you may not be getting enough vitamin D as you should be.
