Would you believe me if I told you all these things were previously frozen?! Well believe it!
If you’re ballin’ on a budget 🤑
then this meal-prep is for you! It’s important to get wild-caught salmon (look for MSC Certified, or certified Alaskan), but fresh is always more expensive than frozen, so head to the freezer to save a few bucks. Same goes for organic fruits and veggies. Frozen varieties are usually cheaper AND studies show they can offer just as much nutrient density as the fresh stuff (sometimes more) since they’re picked and flash-frozen right at peak ripeness 👌
I talk all the time about buying fresh, local, minimally packaged and/or processed, BUT I totally understand that sometimes it’s just hard, costlier, more time-consuming, etc. Still, finances and busy-ness shouldn’t stop you from nutritious food! Putting this whole meal together (there was enough for two! ✌️) cost under $15, and took less than 15-minutes to prepare. Boom 💥 -
🔸Pan-seared mesquite salmon
🔸Steamed broccoli 🥦 🔸Cauliflower rice, bell peppers and onions sautéed in butter, garlic, salt 🧂 and onion powder.
