Remember that any attempt to shirk what we perceive as imperfection is a missed opportunity to heal, reintegrate, thus perfect. If we approach our fears, judgments, sufferings as if they are the Guru, we may fall to our knees at the wisdom they provide. Oftentimes they roar on about values which have gone ignored, the warnings whispered incalculable times. They point the finger at areas where boundaries need to be set. They provide insight into moments we abandoned ourselves though blaming Other for it. Whatever Mara, the demon, represents for you today, invite her to tea. Close your eyes and listen to the cry beneath growl, she seeks merely to heard, held, healed. Once you do this, you will recognize her each time she visits, yet she will hold no power over you. And in time, she will smile, and having been transmuted, thank you graciously. When this happens, she will stand by your side, an empowering and eternal ally.
