Making Sunday Fit Day a Tradition 🖤 . I started making weekend workouts optional because I didn’t want to overwhelm myself or push to the point of giving up . I’m trying to make my quads grow, but they won’t change much using squats unless I wedge my ankles up 45 degrees (my ankles are in rough shape), so I end up doing IG #bootylicious squats, aka, 90% of the movement occurs at the hip. . Squat to squat or squat with a purpose, but find a way to squat. It’s necessary. . But, most importantly, have fun with it. It doesn’t have to be so serious all the time (I’m guilty of this)—it’s only exercise, after all.

Well that was fun. Starting my week with a PT legs session. 313m on rower. TRX x1 min jump squats, x1min switch lunges. Then Pre-exhausted the quads and hammies with drop sets..and then into sled push (73kg plus the weight of the sled ✊) and frog leaps 🐸 and sprints and backward bungee squat run. To say my legs were on fire was an understatement. Oh and then just to finish i did deadmill on incline 20. He said it would be one minute.. actually was 1min 30. Test your limits, and find your balance! This was my first time back on a board in almost...10 years? Since the last 4 of those including trying to figure out how to heal my back pain, I was a bit nervous about getting back out there today, for fear of falling and causing the pain to flare up again. But I'm so glad I did! Took things slowly, got my "board legs" back a bit, and tuned into my inner yogi for all that balance work! 💥Progressing the Hollow Hold💥 The Hollow Hold is a staple in gymnastics, and it’s a great option for those looking to incorporate some additional core work into their training (after all, although we preach performance related goals, we understand that people have aesthetic related goals sometimes as well - design programs based around your clients goals, not yours). PLEASE NOTE: The Hollow Hold is rather advanced in terms of core training and there are a myriad of previous regressions that should be passed first before moving to these advanced progressions. 1️⃣ Standard Hollow Hold: posterior pelvic tilt (low back flat on ground, ribs tucked towards pelvis), maintain ‘banana shaped’ position for desired time. 2️⃣ Hollow Hold + Upper Tension: maintain same position as above, cross hands on top of one another and press together as hard as possible. 3️⃣ Hollow Hold + Full Body Tension: maintain same position as #1, but cross hands and feet and press together as hard as possible.
