Every time I visit Dubai, I develop a liking for a new party place. This time it's @ts
Personally, I like a place that attracts a slightly older crowd. I may act like 20 something but when I'm around 20 somethings I'm SO glad I'm not 20 anymore haha
Not trying to be ageist but hey, life's better when you're not wet behind the ears haha
Having said that, I am IN LOVE WITH LSB. Not only because of the amazing ambiance, or that it attracts a more local crowd but because @ performs there often.
When I say "local" crowds, I mean NOT TOURISTS. That way you get to connect with people time and again, instead of a one off fleeting conversation...... Really helpful when you stay at a place for long. NETWORKING!~ Coming to Gorgeous George, hands down the lead singer @ has some Ah-MAZINg vocal chords. What makes them even better is their friendliness. I picked up a conversation with their guitarist @ , after the performance, and as always it's nice to see artists that are friendly and willing to answer questions about their work.
Trust me, some people have their heads WAY TO HIGH up their asses. I don't post about crappy experiences though hehe.
Nope, not this band.
So was the theme and the band performed an eclectic range of cover songs. Their version of Roberta Flack's Killing me softly was a clear testament of the band's vocal and instrumental perfection.
When they started playing Justin Timberlake's Can't stop the feeling, I went crazy and Dave looked at me "I'm a human jukebox bro" I went and we both chuckled. Yes, I had the table right next to the stage. You've gotta place yourself strategically at clubs right? Enough space to dance, get the performance and of course find dance partners.
I ended up dancing for 5 hours that night. Remember the part about acting like a 20 something? LOL
I'm definitely looking out for Gorgeous George's performances and you should too. Oh and do check out Lock Stock & Barrel in Barsha Heights.
