One of my least favorite myths: “Women can’t do push-ups!” Uh, no. Please don’t tell me that we can’t push our body weight up and down from the floor. It’s a skill like any other. With time and practice you can gain the ability without pain, injury, or any other negative side effect (unless you count muscles as a bad thing 😏) While a full push-up might feel daunting, there’s a million ways to build the strength for one! Chest presses...TRX exercises...oh and Pilates!

Bring awareness to why you work out? If you’re working out because you just don’t like the way you look, that’s not going to get you anywhere! Exercise is to help you feel good in your body and bring wellness to your body. Exercise because you love your body enough to care for it and you want live longer and healthier. Walk, run, cycle, swim, pilates, yoga, dance or whatever moves you because if feels good inside your body! Changing this mindset will change everything! Focus on how good you will feel not how bad you feel about your body. Why do I ❤️Pilates???
For me my relationship with Pilates was love at first sight (or try)! Never had I felt such a challenge—a balance of grace/flexibility/strength. Leaving a Pilates class is beyond invigorating. It leaves you feeling “exercised” and “open/lengthened”. 👈👈
I have pushed my body’s limits beyond what I thought was possible. My body movement defies my age. This former athlete’s “inner dancer” comes out each and every day. ☺️☺️
The best part? Pilates will grow with me as I journey thru life. It is a life-long activity...🌟🌟
