A great pleasure to be hosted @ by master distiller Patricio Azocar. So much history here - hundreds of years of wine making and pisco distillery to be discovered at Capel. It’s the biggest manufacturer of pisco in Chile - 24 million bottles a year - but still feels like it’s run by a family. 1,000 farmers form a cooperative that means Capel reps for pisco makers from across Chile. And after a tasting that took in more than 10 different piscos, I can assure you that a) there is more variety in this drink than I’d ever imagined, and b) you really don’t get a hangover from Chilean pisco. Thank you @ for the marvellous , the tour, the tasting and the barrel of pisco that now awaits my return.
