I've been trying to post every day because I want to tell the world about COOL PLANTS but I'm not the best at it.
Today's post is about the California native Dogbane, a type of hemp! That's right, #420 except not really because this here beautiful yellow plant is not even in the same family or order! 🤣 It is hemp-LIKE though, in that it is fiberous, and that's where the name comes from.
Anyways, it grows near streams in, you guessed it, Livermore, where the seed that this point grew from was collected, and other areas of the East Bay. 🐶 Woof!
Tomorrow (Saturday) is @'s 3rd annual Manzanita Day and you should totally come to Tileden Park in Berkeley to check out all the rad native plants and maybe buy some for your house and yard! They're beautiful, local, and provide great habitat for butterflies, birds, and more! I'll be there recording video so come say hi! 💛
