Living in Oregon has been a spiritual journey, to say the least. Early on, I made a decision to try to see what i had in common with everyone I interact with, what brings us together rather than what separates us. It’s amazing the connections you can make with strangers when you open yourself up. People will open up right there with you. And their faces light up when they feel remembered. These connections don’t have to matter if you don’t want them to. But pay attention. Pay attention and see that everyone around you is just as much a person as you are. People who started as coworkers or customers to me are now friends I have grown to know and love. And now I’m leaving and I’ve felt that love poured back into me from. Every. Single. Direction. The love I’ve been shown in this moving process has been amazing. Sometimes it seems like it’s for nothing, but I’ve been reminded it’s not. Being love to people is everything. Oregon, it has been beautiful and overwhelming. I’m so thankful and I wouldn’t change a thing.
