Last year, I ran a 42 KM marathon and I'm really proud of that achievement. At times I am tempted to think I have it all figured out, but then when I sit down and look at stuff objectively I realise I actually don't, I'm just starting. Things like specializing, what I want to do with my life, if medicine is indeed my calling, if I have the right friends, if I have the right friend 😜; you know we are at that age where people are “focusing”, we've had people in our class get engaged, married and get babies, so yeah that's the friend bit.
In the next 10 years I'm hoping to have a family, own a clinic and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. I'm hoping to travel to various African countries and enjoy the rich culture and of course this blackness, melanin popping 😉. I think about my friends, family and country a lot. I love Kenya and I feel there's a lot that can be done especially with alleviating livelihoods of the needy. We all have a responsibility to the community. We have been called to do more. No one chose where to be born; so with the little you have you need to reach out and give, not just monetary it could be time, gifts and abilities. As a doctor I don't want to practise just because I spent 6 yrs in med school, but because I want to serve and give my all. I hope as I continue to gain knowledge and grow I'm able to stay grounded and still interact with everybody.
Best way to start my day is with a word of prayer then a cup of coffee followed by a litre of water, oh plus I have to dance. I'm a morning person btw and I love to dance! So every morning I get my African tunes and get my funk on while making a lot of noise 😋. I like to keep it funky 😎. Currently feeling All over by Tiwa Savage.
