Had to show these cuties off because of all that hard work! Sometimes people forget the hard work it takes to make something aesthetically pleasing and not only edible but delicious. Yes even though some things are edible it doesnt mean they taste good!!! I worked with a great client for this who allowed me some room to run free artistically and awesome to work with!! For all those bakers out there dont sell yourself short! Love and appreciate what you do and if others dont.... you got to let them go! Its a hard truth but one I'm currently struggling with but have found makes what I love to do still something I still love to do! You never want what you love to become a burden! Feeling tired and lacking overall energy is really common due to the fast paced lives so many of us lead these days. But, before you pound an energy drink or take a supplement that has the potential to make you crash later … try a few of these tips to naturally increase your energy. . Exercise 3-5 days per week and schedule rest days. 3-5 days of exercise is a good amount for the average person. Doing too many high intensity workouts can lead to burnout and exhaustion. . Limit caffeine and monitor how late you consume it. While it seems logical to reach for caffeine when we are tired, our bodies can build up a tolerance so it becomes less effective. Also, drinking caffeine too late will likely reduce your quality of sleep which will directly impact your energy the follow day. . Stay hydrated. Without enough fluid in our bodies, they have to work harder to function which zaps our energy. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water every day. . Eat balanced meals. Make sure you are not only being mindful for macronutrients but micronutrients as well - getting enough vitamins and minerals does wonders for energy levels. . Limit alcohol. Alcohol has sedative effects so it can make you feel less energetic after you consume it, but like caffeine, alcohol can impact your sleep as well - setting you up for being low energy the following day. . Move your body. Aside from exercise, simply moving will help increase energy. If you’ve been sedentary for a while, get up and stretch or take a walk. . Get outside in the sunshine. Sunlight actually energizes you and enhances your mood. . Control stress. Do your best to manage stress by doing things like yoga, meditating, reading etc. This is one is a big one - if you are constantly stressed, your energy levels will feel depleted even if you get a decent amount of sleep per night. . Strength training has so many benefits for women that go far beyond having a tight, lean appearance. If you find yourself still reluctant to lift (or know a woman who is) … maybe the 10 reasons listed above will make you reconsider. And, keep in mind, these are just 10 of the benefits, there are SO many others. 🏋🏼‍♀️ Aside from feeling more confident physically, my personal favorite benefit of lifting is feeling empowered. The amazing feeling you have when you are getting physically stronger has the potential to help to improve your strength in other areas including mentally and emotionally. 🏋🏼‍♀️ Until I started lifting, I was always on a quest to get or stay skinny. And, the ironic thing is, I never felt confident, even at my thinnest. I was so reluctant to lift at first because I bought into the whole mentality of females lifting = looking manly or bulky. I am only 5’1” and I think if anyone would look bulky simply from lifting weights, it would be me, being that I am so vertically challenged (ha ha!). Instead, what it did was change my body shape in a way no other kind of exercise has and mentally made me stronger. I love strength training and plan on doing it as long as I am physically able. 🏋🏼‍♀️ Questions about starting a training program?
