Ohhh man, I have been recording the tree’s as I drive since the trees started turning colors but today after I took my daughter to school I decided to do another because the tree’s are hitting their peak and leaves are falling quickly, but this was by far the best video I got! Just look at those colors! Ughhh I freakin love fall you guys!! What’s your favorite season and WHY?! I love all of the seasons 😂 I can’t choose a favorite. I used to love Christmas time hands down but the feeling of fall is when you start to cozy up to the cool weather and spring is where new things grow and flowers bloom then you have summer where it’s everything about being outdoors! Hello my friends! ⠀ ⠀ It's an exciting time of year for our hearts, but not so much for our waistlines. Trust me when I say I understand the struggle. In fact, I used to completely shrug off my fitness ambitions during the winter months. I would think to myself, "I'll just start again in the new year. January isn't that far away." Sorry for the lack of posting, I've found myself in a bit of a hole the last few days, not feeling sure of myself as me, or as a mum. BUT, I'm treating every day as a new opportunity to have a good day, and my son becomes more and more amazing with each that passes. It is such a privilege to watch him grow and unfold. . He turned 6 months old yesterday and, it turns out, it feels like more a milestone than I anticipated. I blinked and my tiny baby has become a small person. 6 easy yesterday and then today was 🔥 2 up, 8x400 with 1-min jogging recoveries, and about .75 mi cooldown to 5.5 miles. My first 400 was 1:45 (7:02 pace) and my goal for the next 7 reps was to meet or beat it. Mission accomplished! Mostly went sub-7:00 pace and my last one was 1:36 (6:26 pace). Boom! My watch gave me a new 5K record and VO2 max of 49. So pleased bc my easy miles the last few days have been feeling SO slow and hard. 😪 Followed it up with a hard 30-minute strength sesh and I am officially pooped. Oh and swipe over for my husband who also wanted a fitstagram pic with the baby. Can you please never go back to work, @willbrez?! 😂🤞🏼🤞🏼

Find your powerhouse and dig in! I realize that message doesn’t have a lot to do with flowers, but I feel like I’ve had an emotional day. It’s been great but emotional! In my business, I’m in the process of adding some really amazing new coaches and working hard to get them started right. I also have some customers and coaches that have been with me for a long time that are ready to take this to a new level- again amazing! Mix that with streamlining some teams and really intermingling and joining forces with some teams to make our community even stronger, and you have the setup for BIG things to come! On a personal note, since my husband works out of town I’ve really been feeling a lot like a single mom lately and I feel like I’m the only one that hears the word NO 18 million times a day! No one else understands why it gets frustrating. It’s under no control of his but that’s just the way things are right now. It’s been getting to me that I am the only disciplinarian on a daily basis and that gets old quick. And today I came home to these beautiful flowers totally unexpected! That made them even more meaningful. And then came my workout... and yes it was amazing. They always are! The last move was a power squat move. My legs just so happen to be my powerhouse! Thank you dance, gymnastics, and horseback riding growing up 💥😉. As I was so tired and sweaty and exhausted, I thought, you know what- I can power thru this and dang it I will!!!! I have so much to be proud of and be thankful for and pushing thru these last few minutes is something under my control! So I guess all of this to say... when it gets hard and busy and emotional and kind of crazy- lean into what YOUR powerhouse is! Focus on that and give it all you’ve got! Yumm! I drink my superfoods shake everyday and I love it. Mine is dairy/gluten/soy free which works the best for me (there are many flavors and a whey protein option). If I miss it I definitely notice a difference. It keeps me going during the day and decreases cravings. I feel better as a whole when I have it. I’m a little stressed out! Spartan is in 2 wks and I haven’t trained like I usually do. Yes, having the 8 month old around this time makes it more difficult. Numerous more children for that matter. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's watching my baby in pain. I realize not wanting to see your child suffer is a universal feeling, but I feel the need to vent. . • Yesterday we had our 15 month wellness visit which means shots. Our girl knew as soon as we walked in that something unpleasant was about to happen. She saw the room, immediately began crying and tried to bolt. It's hard because she's too young to understand what's happening. Afterwards we had to go have blood drawn. It was horrible. It took Zach, myself, and another tech to hold her down. I hated it but there was no other option. She screamed and thrashed and fought as hard as she could. It was heartbreaking to witness. • The tech accidentally moved the needle and had to start the process all over on the other side. They stuck her again, but still weren't able to collect enough blood. I felt terrible to put her through all that for nothing. I wished I could have comforted her or somehow make it less frightening. I felt helpless. • We gave her graham crackers and apple juice and I nursed her. It felt like we had unnecessarily put her through something painful and scary. We came home and I was able to nurse her to sleep. I snuggled her extra close and hoped she would soon forget. And when it gets too overwhelming….well… you know what will happen. - 🔹Nothing. - 🔹But keeping it simple doesn’t mean boring, lack of flavor, or repetitive. - 🔹Those that are successful with fat loss nutrition are prepared. They may not actually meal prep a bunch of food (although they might), but they are prepared. They do put together meals that not only meet there calorie requirements, but that are full of flavor. - 🔹Want to put together a days worth of meals? Let’s do it. - ➡️Always pick your protein first. Protein is a game changer with fat loss and needs to be the base from which you build your meals. Start with a protein with every meal. 20-30 grams per meal is a great place to start, - ➡️Add lots of veggies. Have half your plate full of veggies. Include veggies at every meal. They are great volume for few calories, not to mention how nutrient dense they are. Pile ‘em on. - ➡️Use the remainder of your calories for carbs/fats. Whatever your preference is. The tendency is to avoid these out of fear. Fear that carbs or fats are the reason you can’t lose weight. They aren’t. Don’t avoid them (or anything). Include them daily. - ➡️I always like to remind people to make sure you also include foods you love into your diet. It may not be every day, but if you want that donut or that pizza, include it and make it work in your numbers. Including those foods into your diet will make you less likely to binge or feel the need to have “cheat meals”. - ➡️And if you want a snack? Make it fruit or a protein based snack. The calories will be friendly and the volume/calorie ratio will be good. - 💪🏻Does everything work out perfectly when you plan your meals? Nope. It may never be perfect. And if you go over your calories? That’s Ok too. Just hop right back on track at the very next meal. - 🔹Like anything else, meal planning takes practice. For the first time in years I have a fitness goal ❤ Goal setting might be controversial for someone doing yoga and even more so if you've just had a baby. But I've realized that I truelly love my time at the gym, my long walks and my yoga practice. And in order to keep it that way and stay motivated I need to keep developing. Which is also why I choose to share it here on instagram as I don't have an irl training buddy to share inspiration with. So what is the goal then? First of all to strengthen my body enough to be able to get back into running in January 2019 (right now I can't hold my balance because my core strength is GONE) and to keep building my yoga selfpractice. Then to master a handstand or headstand and do a 10k run by the end of next summer. For some those goals may seem easy peasy and for others they may be way too much. For me they are just perfect ❤ This little flow is from a few weeks ago when the baby finally started napping during the day 👶😴❤

I actually used to hate to workout because I thought “I had to” but exercise has transformed my life inside and out! HUGE NEWS FOR THIS MAMA.. Normally I could careless about the scale because it’s just a number to me. It’s more about how I’m feeling in my skin and my clothes anyways. But today I woke up wanting to know where I was at and how much I needed to lose to be back at my original weight. At 40 weeks pregnant, I had gained about 24.6 pounds of baby weight. With Grace, I have gained a total of 35.3 pounds and lost most of it breastfeeding and the rest was through working out daily. I managed to keep off that extra ten pounds I gained last time because my pregnancy was healthier. #soworthit Today, I am proud to say that I only have 4.6 pounds left to lose to be at my original weight!! So that means when I get clearance again, it’s all about toning which is my favorite part. So patting myself on the back for bringing this amazing baby into our lives and commuting to being so healthy so that on postpartum day 10 I can say it loud and proud.. 🍼😍Great newly mother advice for postpartum you have to READ! 💥LIKE IF YOU AGREE💪🏼❤️ . . 👉 SWIPE FOR MOTIVATION 👉 . The most important advice I can give a new mom who just had her Baby and want's to get back in shape is .... Take Your Time! It's so important to just let your body recover and enjoy your baby. I only started walking 3 weeks after baby and only started core strengthening workouts 6 weeks post partum. You need to listen to your body. It's different for everyone. I get lots of girls anxious to jump back into fitness and I applaud you for your dedication but realize your body went thru so much and now is going through so much again especially if your breastfeeding. Another reason I say becareful is because of Diastasis Recti (ab wall separation) you can cause some real damage to your body if you start doing abs which you will be tempted to do since your belly feels like mush. Instead of doing something good, you could doing something that you will regret for a lifetime. Not many doctors will tell you about it and not alot of trainers know about it. If you are a new mom, inform yourself it's your body so you have to think for yourself. My last piece of advice that I know and understand isn't possible for everyone but if you can get in shape before your pregnancy that will make bouncing back faster and you'll be able to continue working out throughout your entire pregnancy which means you'll be a strong pregnant mama ready for delivery. . 📸Follow @howtopracticefitness for advice and tips 📸 . 📸 cc: @florinafitness 🎥

So today was upper body day but obviously I only filmed my core exercises 👍 Here are a couple of my faves. Side plank variations & single leg stretch I found the single leg stretch so hard!! It’s really important that you maintain a ‘neutral’ spine throughout these exercises to prevent your back from taking over and so that you work those deep core muscles. —————————— So what is a neutral spine? Neutral spine is the natural position of the spine when all 3 curves of the spine—cervical (neck), thoracic (middle) and lumbar (lower)—are present and in good alignment. This is the strongest position for the spine. ——————————- How do I maintain a neutral spine? Focus on your breathing throughout the exercise and make sure your pelvis does not ‘rock’ during the movement, lower back should neither be pressed into the mat nor arched away from it. ——————————- Ab exercises do not always have to be fancy and complex to get good results 💪🏼
