My yoga practice not only creates space in my body but it also slows down the mind, almost as if time itself has disappeared. Moving with my breath and listening to my body communicating with my mind, I follow its instructions to move in a way that it asks me to. I wish we could move through the day this way. Imagine a world with no time, and not limited by age. When you move through the day with the earth itself. Wake naturally at first dawn and settle to sleep at dusk or when tired. Move slow on the days you feel exhausted and fast on the days you have more energy. Time is an illusion. A weapon of control. We leave ourselves exhausted and depleted and unhappy with our lives RULED by the clock.
It’s the summer holidays here and apart from the odd appointment and having to teach, most of the time we follow the day by the sun and moon, get up when we need to, eat when we are hungry, move nice and slowly some days and move fast on others.
Summer holidays can be quite demanding, especially as a single parent. I am blessed to have a wonderful network of support. We have had a blast so far. Art and craft, movie days, walks in nature, lazy morning cuddles in bed, and crazy feet haven’t touched the ground, I can’t even see the floor for toys days.
I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been tiring and demanding but wow it’s flew. I wish we lived in a world with no time. Tipton time! Haha 😂
We would all love a little more and feel a little younger.
