KETO BOMB POPS Here is a delicious recipe for a Keto Bomb Pops by @ruledme . CALORIES/MACROS This makes 6 servings of Bomb Pops. Each serving comes out to be 146 Calories, 13g Fats, 1g Protein, 5g Net Carbs INGREDIENTS -1 cup frozen raspberries -1 cup frozen blueberries -1 cup water, divided -1 ½ teaspoons liquid stevia, divided - ½ cups canned coconut cream ½ teaspoon vanilla extract -Popsicle molds and sticks . DIRECTIONS 1. Place the raspberries, ½ cup water, and ½ teaspoon liquid stevia in a small saucepan. 2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the fruit starts to break down and a little of the liquid has been reduced from the heat and use an immersion blender (or blender) to make a smooth red puree. 3. Repeat the above process with the blueberries. Place the blueberries, ½ cup water and ½ teaspoon liquid stevia in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. 4. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and use an immersion blender (or blender) to make a smooth blue puree. Set aside to cool or place in the refrigerator until ready to use. 5. Sirloin Tips, Egg Burger Patties, and Salmon to cap off Day 8 #carnivore. Week 1 recap👇🏻 . So I plan on doing this for 4 weeks, but wanted to check in and give some initial impressions after week 1 . ⚖️ I started the protocol Monday coming off a carb up the Saturday prior and came in at 184.1 to start. I generally drop the excess glycogen and water by mid week and level out around 176. This morning I weighed in at 173.1, lowest I’ve been in a while. I noticed mid week that the excess from the carb up came off much faster. Overall I’m feeling lean, and visually am definitely leaner . 🥩 The menu has consisted of probably 85% Red Meat, Eggs, and Butter. The rest being some Pork, Salmon, and Chicken. I’ve also had a very limited amount of sweeteners from some BCAAs, Stir Water Enhancer, and La Croix. I have made it a point to not include any Dairy or Stevia, both of which I plan on going another week without, and then slowly adding back in to see if it makes any difference . 🍴 Been having pretty much 2 meals a day, a solid meal when I get home pre workout, and a larger meal post workout. If I’m hungry I have a small snack during the day around 3pm to hold me over . 💪🏻 Gym performance, I switched programs at the same time as starting the diet, so not ideal for comparisons sake, but I definitely feel like my output is greater. I don’t feel as depleted and feel like I can keep going afterward, overall just more gas in the tank . ⚡️Energy has been up during the day, haven’t needed or wanted that midday caffeine intake to sustain. Have also felt very zen like, just more balanced then usual . 😴 As some others have noted, I have definitely noticed an improved sleep quality this past week. Chronic illness is something that can really sneak up on you. Not just initially but repetitively. You can have several good days and then be down for the count for a week. Or have bad days that seem to lurk behind every good day. No matter when they hit, they always hit hard. It's not easy being forced down so quickly without any control. . Not only can you experience more-than-normal amounts of pain and exhaustion, but you deal with unbearable weakness, sensitivities, and brain fog. This means that even when laying in bed waiting for time to pass, you can be too weak to do anything that eases your mind (outside of trying to find anything to watch). Your arms are too weak to draw, eyes too tired to read, and so on. What a time suck! . It's still difficult for me to grasp how great of an impact just one illness can bring into an individual's life. Nothing goes untouched as it seeps into every pore of your life. Unfortunately, most suffering from chronic illness don't have just one. They are juggling insane symptoms every day while they work endlessly with medical staff to figure out from which illness the symptoms may be stemming. They try elimination diets and routines and track every moment of their life just in case the smallest change ripples into something crippling for them. . Keeping track of the different, daily, consistent pains isn't enough. They also have to balance medical bills, prescriptions, dozens of doctors appointments, potentially a form of physical or mental therapy just to cope with everything hitting them at once...not to mention many of these sufferers hold down jobs or school where their burdens are invisible to most passersby. . I know everyone struggles. But I've never known a struggle such as this. One that is relentless and provides glimmers of hope only to tear the survivor down the next moment. You think you find something that works and begin to feel better. You start pushing yourself to get back up and return to normal activities. You breathe a sigh of relief. And then you are torn apart again - this time with the refreshed memory of what it could feel like to be well again. . Luckily, you are not alone...(cont in comments)

Turkey burgers are one of my faves, and they should never be dry. These were so good! I used 2 lbs. of ground turkey, 2 eggs, 2 T. coconut milk, dried parsley, almond flour (just enough to bind), @primalpalate Steak Seasoning, and @m_salt1 Mixed all of the ingredients together and formed into patties. I then grilled them to perfection and added some @applegate cheese. I like my turkey burgers lettuce wrapped with caramelized onions, tomato (these are #homegrown) and @sirkensingtons Dijon. Only thing missing was 🥑🥑🥑😜

A few things: 1) I learned at my work that you need 7 to 11 servings of vegetables per day! 😮😮😮 Why the hell did the USDA tell us we needed that amount in bread and rice growing up? *EDIT: OMG I just saw a Facebook video about the history of the food pyramid after posting this and now I’m even more pissed about it 😂* . 2) The more green the better. Dinner tonight. Okay, we had sausages, too, but those were not nearly as pretty as this salad. On a different note, I received more test results today and found out my c-reactive protein is elevated enough for them to refer me to a GI doc. But this is Kaiser. And they don't have anything available until September 6 and even then only a 15 minute phone visit. Kaiser follows a strict protocol. The idea is that the GI doc talks to me and makes some recommendation (based on a non-existing diagnosis). If I don't better I will be invited to an in person visit for further testing. The problem with this is that I cannot go through another month of this pain. So back to my naturopath I go. I want a diagnosis. No more guess work. Also, kids, if you don't want to get freaked out by what could potentially be wrong with you, do not Google!! Because you will always have cancer, no matter what. Onward!! Salad for dinner 🥗 but really more like a bowl of toppings! It doesn’t look like it, but this was a large bowl of spring mix topped with avocado, hard boiled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and grilled chicken. Then I drizzled it all with @primalkitchenfoods ranch! 😋 It was so good! Sadly, I would have never eaten this in one sitting before. One look at this and I would know my fat macros would be over for the day. I hate that I let numbers control feeding myself real and nutritious food. Don’t let numbers in an app control your life! There are so many places your energy will be better spent! I learned this the hard way!
