Happy Sunday #fitfam ‼️ How was everyone’s weekend?! It’s Noah here to give you a few tips on how to set your calorie deficit for fat loss!😃 ❄️ Here’s a great graphic from @susanniebergallfitness which will help you with this process. ❄️ There are multiple ways that you can set a calorie deficit, but this is a quick, easy, and reliable way to do so! However, it is going to take a little bit of time and trail and error in order to find the right amount to eat for your goals! ❄️ To get a good estimate, multiply your body weight by 10-12 to get a range of your calories. To determine what to multiply by, think of your activity level. If you’re sedentary or aren’t active much, multiply by 10, if you’re somewhat active then multiply by 11, and finally if you are a pretty active person, multiply by 12. ❄️ Stay within that calorie range for about a month and track your progress. If you seem to be gaining weight, cut the calories down just a little (50-100 at a time). If you find yourself staying the same weight, cut the calories a touch (25-75 calories) and see how that goes. And finally, if you are losing weight, then congratulations! You found your calorie deficit, but beware that after a while your body will get used to the amount of calories so you might have to lower them a little so you don’t plateau! ❄️ I hope you guys take something away from this and helps solve any confusion you may have had! Although my skin care routine is so much simpler nowadays (hello all in one product!) I still enjoy (welllll maybe that’s not quite the right word) micro-needling my face once a week. It kinda stings and it makes my skin red for a bit (check my nose!) but it helps to create little holes for my skin product to be able to deep seat itself into my skin! I was my face with reveal, rinse, dry, microneedle, then reapply reveal and let it dry on my skin as a mask. When I wake up in the morning my skin always looks amazing! Have you ever tried micro needling???

I remember my first time. • My first time in the gym by myself. • I was a young 17 year old kid who wanted to get bigger and stronger. • The programs I followed I either googled online or read somewhere in a Men’s Health and Fitness magazine. • I didn’t know how to properly do most of the movements. • Most of the equipment was foreign to me. • I didn’t understand how essential a diet was in cooperation with physical training. • These are all common challenges any rookie gym goer will face! • Fortunately over the years I have learned from some amazing people, whom have now become friends, on how to get a grip on the whole fitness thing. • With their help along with my own research, trials and errors, and constant willingness to learn I’ve been able to make small strides over the past 4 and a half years. • No it hasn’t been easy. • Yes there were plenty of times where I fell off. • Yes I’m still no where near where I ultimately want to be. • Just remember fitness, like your overall life, is a journey. • You won’t learn everything in a week. Or a month. Not even a year. • You will fail. You will make mistakes. I’ve made plenty and will be the first to tell you that. • Remember that those failures and learning curves are all a part of the process. • It is your ability to learn from your mistakes and to actively make the decision to progress that will bring you longterm success with your physical fitness. • Go out. Ask for help. Mess up. Try again. • I promise you it get’s easier. You’ll be glad you started and amazed of how capable you really are. • Everyone starts somewhere, but unfortunately a lot of people never start at all. • Don’t allow the fear of not knowing how to do an action or activity prevent you from taking that first step. • The biggest names in the fitness industry were once in your exact shoes. • The best way to tackle fear is by facing it head on. • Take action and adapt as you go. I remember being able to eat ANYTHING and not have to worry about weight gain. Then junior year of college hit and that’s when I finally started working out (the whole actually caring about my nutrition came a few years later). — - Learning to workout sucked (and to do it voluntarily - who does that?!). - Going to the gym for first time sucked. - Attempting to run two miles straight for the first time sucked (finally happened when I was 20. Yupp, 20 years old). - Falling into my first online bootcamp and then deciding I wanted to coach too also sucked at first because of all of the negative self-talk and fear that came along with it...YOU, you think you can be a health and fitness coach? The one who started working out only a few years ago?! What will your friends think or say about that?! — The whole starting something new sucks. Especially when you feel like you’re coming in late to it all or have a long way to go with your goals. — But it is possible. You just need to START. — Tough love coming (only because I love you)- stop scrolling, creeping and thinking about it and JOIN US this time around. Start something for the new year. It’s possible you’ve already tried a million things and nothing has worked or maybe this is your very first time attempting these goals - just DO IT FOR Y-O-U! You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. ~ I’d be lying if I didn’t say I want to be face first in a bag of chips and salsa and cookies. As someone who used to rely on food for comfort, when life throws me curve balls that’s the first place my mind goes to. ~ Thankfully instead of giving into all the temptation, I look back at transformations like this one. That girl on the left let food run her life. That girl ate all her emotions and I’m sure you’d all be surprised when I say the only thing it did was make me feel worse. Filling those voids with food only made me more unhappy, uncomfortable, and less confident. ~ All at once I decided to quit, I decided to stop playing the victim and do something. I had tried the gym memberships, calorie counting, and running on my own but I always failed. Truth be told I just didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t have the time or money for a personal trainer, but I knew I needed help. ~ Almost two years ago, I found it. I found the resources and tools I needed to finally be successful. Ok but why did I just post my 4th round of this circuit LIVE on Instagram?! 😆 . Because I wanted you to get a feel for how I workout, how much I rest, how hard I breathe (lol) in real time. It’s easy to post pics or perfect clips but how about we just keep it a little more real. . As promised here is today’s workout. 5 rounds/ 25 lb DB 10 goblet squats 5 dumbbell burpees to renegade row 10 hip extension to press 10 alternating dumbbell snatch to push press 20 side to side toe taps . I rest a lot in between rounds but this circuit kicked my 🍑 Who says you can’t get a good workout in under 30 minutes? Questions? Ask away ⤵️

I haven’t painted since before Thanksgiving and I found myself avoiding my studio. I felt like I had forgotten how to paint. I finally made myself take some time at the easel. I started with a landscape and wiped it before I even finished the underpainting. I then started a portrait and my memory slowly returned. I painted this sweet little girl with a big bow in her hair. She’s not perfect, but perfection isn’t the goal. I’m not sure if I’ll add some soft color or just leave her as is. For all those moms who think they may be the only hot mess... Today as I walked into church with our two boys (Ryan was already there to volunteer) I saw our senior teaching pastor holding open the door for us. “Good morning, pastor manion,” I said, as I dragged my screaming two-year-old through the door while also carrying the car seat with baby Sieg, purse, and diaper bag. It was not pretty. It was tragic, actually. Sam was literally screaming in anger because I insisted I hold his hand through the parking lot. And I was also literally dragging him. My pastor grabbed the car seat from my hands and walked me to the nursery check-in, where he set him down and said, “I remember those days.” I could have burst into tears. I was embarrassed, frustrated, and exhausted, but to have a pastor who will always choose to step into the mess with you is something I choose to not take for granted. If you know me, you know I am all about my people, my communities. My family, my long time friends, my small group and church community, my fitness and lifestyle family...I am not me without my people. And today proved that even more. (In more ways than my pastor carrying my baby.) You are not alone, mamas. Even when it feels so secluded, messy, hard. And when you feel the most alone, REACH OUT. Ever seen a baby catch their reflection in a mirror? Pure JOY happens. It breaks my heart to think of kiddos who light up seeing themselves growing up to be adults who frown at the mirror, harshly criticize it and talk negatively to it. Don’t want that to happen to your kids, younger siblings or nieces and nephews? Role model smiling at your reflection and saying nice things to the mirror and the body you see in it. The body that does so much for you each day. You influence kiddos all around you (adults too) so choose to be a positive body image influencer! If you don’t have anything nice to say about your body, don’t say anything at all. Kids are listening even when you think they aren’t. Positive self talk/ positive body image is like a new language you might have to learn but with practice, prayer and intentionally surrounding your social media feed and life with positive thinking people/body positive people, it CAN be done! I know it can because I’ve done it. And if I can, someone who use to HATE her body and say the meanest things to the image in the mirror, I know you can change your ways too ❤️

This is what I strive for. I will never claim to be perfect. Lord knows I am far from it. However I will be straight up and my genuine self. I will not be everyone’s cup of tea and that is okay. It's definitely not all sunshine and laptops. But sometimes it is. And I always feel totally and completely grateful to be able to run my business from anywhere in the world. I often have the response 'oh yeah that's alright for you though isn't it? Of course you can do it from anywhere.' And while it is true now, it hasn't always been. It hasn't always been possible with the way my business or work was set up. ⠀ ⠀ Sometimes I was required to be at my client's office (and didn't know how to set boundaries or say 'no that doesn't actually work for me...'), sometimes I was so swamped with work I could barely leave the house let alone get on a plane to go anywhere. And sometimes I was undercharging and over-delivering so much I could barely lift my head to envision what anything else might look like.⠀ ⠀ If you'd have told me a couple of years ago that it would be possible to run my life like this, I wouldn't have believed you. I knew I wanted it, but I just couldn't figure out the 'how' and so I stopped dreaming for a little while. ⠀ ⠀ But it's that pesky want to know the 'how' that can ruin it all. Of course you're not going to know 'HOW' from where you're standing, you've never done it before. But that's never a reason to give up, just a reason to figure it out! ⠀ ⠀ The how always shows itself, but you have to BELIEVE and move forward first. You have to be up for navigating as you go. You have to be up for being uncomfortable more than you are comfortable (cos' like, 28 hours on the road is NOT what I call comfort, for starters.) ⠀ ⠀ While working from anywhere may not be YOUR dream, I wish for you whatever it is you wish for yourself [as @lucysheridan so beautifully says.] ⠀ ⠀ Whatever is YOUR wish, give yourself permission to follow it. Because before you know it, the year may have passed and you'll wish you just damn well started. 💫✨

I had a major non scale victory I wanted to share with you guys! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I usually hate shopping for clothes. I use be a size 0 or 2 in jeans. Then this weight gain came on and bam, I was buying size 10 & over jeans. Mentally, that tore me up. I’d find my size, try them on to see if they fit, pay and get in my car and cry. I’d cry that I let myself get to where I am. Mentally it was hard to grasp I was so far away from what I use to be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well I went shopping with my mom yesterday, preparing myself for the wall of emotions once I was done shopping, I picked up a pair of jeans keeping in mind I’m 30 lbs down since the last time I tried on jeans and I was 6 jean sizes DOWN! Can you say mini dance party in the dressing room?? 🤣🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, this time I know it’s MORE then just a number. It’s how I feel mentally, physically, and how much healthier I am on the inside! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I want to know, have you had a non scale victory recently?!

What could you do with a little extra??? 🤔 . . I am blessed beyond belief by my business and fortunate to have been able to give back to our community and a handful of amazing organizations these last few weeks!! What a gift and an honor it is to be able to pay it forward! 🙌🏻 . . You guys. Seriously. I am truly thankful to the people who have put their faith in me and allowed me to help them on their journey to better health with cleaner, safer products this last month (and these last almost three years)!! My business has been an amazing avenue for me to be an advocate for cleaner living...but I am humbled (almost always) at what it has allowed me to do for my family and for others!
