Over the phone after we left her school this morning:
👱🏻♀️ (happy and excited): Nay! Top 13.5 pala ako! 🙋🏻♀️: Bakit may .5 na naman?
👱🏻♀️: Eh may ka-tie ako eh. 🙋🏻♀️: Well, kung may ka-tie ka, then both of you dapat eh 13. Period. No point 5, point 5 pa. 👱🏻♀️: Hmmm...
🙋🏻♀️: Whatever. (then a sudden change of tone) Akalain mo Nak! Congratulations ! 😄👏🏻😍 That’s her rank for first grading in their class. Yes. Class only. Not batch. Her highest grade is 89, lowest 81. No “line of 9” score either.
But I am having this post again today because she didn’t get any failing marks o kahit “line of 7”. That’s super ok na sa amin because like what what we’ve been reminding her since day one — basta ma-enjoy mo lang ang high school life without neglecting your acads at the same time, maski hindi honor or achiever, ok na ok na, Nak. 😊
Totoo yun. Gladly, that’s what we’re seeing in her now. Happy sya, hindi masyadong pressured or stressed sa kahit ano, may maaayos na mga kaibigan (kahit puro boys halos 🙈 like mother like daughter, you know! 😅), may mga gustong mang-away (😜) pero walang pinapatulan at nagiging kaibigan pa nga niya sila eventually plus naha-handle nya ng maayos, sa tingin namin, ang bawat “challenging moments” ng isang typical HS student, who wouldn’t be a proud parent di ba? 💁🏻♀️ And I am not bragging these things just because I am her mom. Look. I got solid proof. She got perfect marks on CORE VALUES. 😇
So allow me when I say, ANG HUSAY HUSAY MO SA SCHOOL, NAK @ 😉😍☺️ PS. Pero di ko pa din talaga ma-gets yung point 5 kyeme na ranking. 🤦🏻♀️😆
