Thinking back to the past month half filled with (albeit minor) injuries that meant I couldn’t train without some (abnormal) discomfort, has been a real pain (lol) but real eye opener for me. From a swollen patella which made everything below parallel excruciating, to a slipped disc which ruled out pretty much everything 😅, followed by a calf injury and most recently very nearly shattering my shin on a max lift... I realise I probably need a bit of an #egocheck. On all occasions yes I was miserable, behaved like a bit of a brat, and more than often continued or tried to train the things I shouldn’t have... so I’m sorry to everyone who suffered the brunt of this and thank you to everyone who’s looked after my sorry ass haha🤦🏼‍♀️ But I feel it safe to say I’m finally over the novelty of this sport and wanting to Go HAM at ever opportunity. Not to mention (touch wood) 👀 this lucky fucker made it 25 years without breaking a bone yet...and even still, I’m so grateful that things haven’t turned out worse - even though they seemed a relatively big deal to me at the time. Rest is JUST as important as working on those weaknesses, and staying safe when you do give it your all. 😄( 👈 my face rn thinking about all the upcoming winter training and comps). #Self improvements... first off I am terrible at wide grip pull ups, or pull ups in general but I can knock out close grip chin ups for 10... wide grip... nada... so this is my restart... This is a resistance exercise to teach your last to support your body weight. This is at the end of 4 sets so... Some days are just down right hard.... working 2 jobs, being gone from 6am-8pm, nonstop go-go-go, managing a full course load at school, and the list goes one. Somedays I dont even have time to breathe. Its tiring and exhausting but going to bed every night satisfied knowing I did everything in my power to make the day great and make an impact on others lives is what I live for. Not every day is going to be great, or a walk in the part, but i am staying as positive as I can in the moment and making the best out of each situation that is thrown at me.

Here’s some irony of the human condition: I don’t practise strict pull ups because I feel embarrassed within myself that I have to use a band in order to get a decent amount of reps...🤦🏼‍♀️ with an attitude like that, no wonder I haven’t made progress. Today I got over this wanky fear and included four sets of max reps of banded pull-ups. You determined the potential height of your jump from two legs (the previous video). This height will be your goal. Now we need to prepare for this height. Training area 1. The height of 1/6 - 1/2 of the target will be your training area for jumping on one leg. Training zone 2. The height of 1/3 - 5/6 of the target will be your training area for a jump on two legs. If the jumps on each leg are easy, the height of Training Zone 1 can be increased towards Training Zone 2. Having mastered these two zones, you can start trying to jump on your target with two legs. And your target will be reached! What this training looks like, you'll see in the next video. Ты определил потенциальную высоту своего прыжка с двух ног (предыдущее видео). Это высота будет твоей целью. Теперь к этой высоте необходимо подготовится. Тренировочная зона 1. Высота 1/6 - 1/2 от цели будет твоей тренировочной зоной для прыжка на одной ноге. Тренировочная зона 2. Высота 1/3 - 5/6 от цели будет твоей тренировочной зоной для прыжка на двух ногах. HOW TO FIND YOUR JUMP HEIGHT? Before jumping to any height, you need to make sure the safety of the jump and its capabilities. There is a way to determine which height is right for you, i mean, to what height you will be able to safely jump from two legs without a take-off. Remember, if you can step on an object with one foot (no hands), then the height of this object can be the goal of your jump from two legs. Now you know how to determine your height for a two-legged jump. The next post will tell you about the preparation for this jump. КАК НАЙТИ СВОЮ ВЫСОТУ ДЛЯ ПРЫЖКОВ? Перед тем, как прыгать на любую высоту необходимо убедиться в безопасности прыжка и его возможности. Есть способ определить, какая высота подходит именно тебе, т.е. на какую высоту ты точно сможешь безопасно запрыгнуть с двух ног без разбега. Запомни, если ты можешь наступить на объект одной ногой (без рук), значит высота этого объекта может быть целью твоего прыжка с двух ног. No pain no gain? Exactly! Do you want to try something really original and painful on the parallel bars to get the result? Then try this exercise. “Flight” with biceps jumps on parallel bars. Challenge yourself for strength and discipline. Check, who commands your body: pain and discomfort, or is it still you? You can start it without jumping, just push-ups on the biceps. Try to do at least 5 repetitions. Describe your feelings in the comments. Good luck! Без боли нет доли? Именно так! Хочешь попробовать что-то действительно оригинальное и болезненное на брусьях, чтобы получить результат? Тогда попробуй это упражнение. «Полет» с прыжками на бицепсах на параллельных брусьях.
