#Tributo172 —————————————————— Several reasons
why i love Automotive Photography.
It’s one of the hardest-hellish lighting setup.
Super-difficult control of lighting, reflection and distortion.
Putting our gear in it’s maximum capability condition.
( Colour reproduction, dynamic range, lens sharpness, lighting colour, lighting power )
To light a car, we have to look at two type of lights : direct and indirect.
both setup show totally different character.
Direct lighting boost grain, details, even dust and scratches.
Indirect lighting shows curve and outer surface of car paint.
The tripod have to be super stable without any micro-vibration tolerance.
Total test of camera’s sensor.
Hardcore use of lighting equipment.
It’s another hellish-hard to edit in post processing.
Car design is really inspiring. Many thoughts and consideration in one result.
Great synergy between art and logic. ( similar characteristic to photography )
although automotive photography isn’t my main photography work ;
it’s the most exciting way to learn photography that can boost my lighting knowledge to shoot other type of items such as product or commercial work.
Hellish-Hard way to do
to learn photography.
